Your statement in itself is not false. But what keeping some picks does is it gives us flexibility to maneuver into better draft position or to trade for better assets to improve the roster.

I'd try REALLY HARD to keep Obi. As much as I like IQ, I'd prefer to have Obi get the opportunity to be our starting 4, that's assuming Randle gets traded sometime during this coming year.

This one of my pet peeves. We actually NEED to make one or two 4 or 5 for 1 trade just to keep from losing multiple players in the Rule 5 Draft.
