Scouring potential trade pieces doesn't encourage me that much. I feel like they'll have to target a guy like Ketel Marte because they need that type of impact bat. At Donaldson's age, I wouldn't trade any of our top 5 prospects for him. If he can be had without our top 5, I'm all for it.
If you ask me they fired Chili Davis too soon. He knew what he was doing.This new hitting coach Quattlebaum or whatever his name isn't doing much of anything. The Mets do have good hitters. What I don't understand is how can the whole team be in such a terrible slump offensively. Something is wrong. Maye it's the batting order? Maybe Lindor should be batting 3rd instead of 2nd.
Lindor should be batting 6th or 7th until he starts hitting
The fact that we're half way through the season and there hasn't been an entire revamp of the lineup is absurd. Clearly what they've got going on now isn't working!

Yeah well this new hitting coach has done nothing to solve the problem. The Mets have alot of proven hitters. Chili Davis did wonders for players like JD Davis and Dom Smith. Firing him after 22 games was jumping the gun.Quote:
