Teams are trying to fleece the Mets. That’s thanks to Brodie. For me Alvarez, Allan, Mauricio, Baty Kumar, Ginn are off limits. Even Vientos I would only trade him if we are getting a very good return

Madrigal for Kimbrel. Crazy. We couldn't touch that offer either unless we wanted to trade McNeil and a highly ranked prospect
I think a lot of these high prices are due to that you can't do waiver trades after the deadline.
The Tigers have been discussed reliever Michael Fulmer with other teams this afternoon, reports Jon Morosi of MLB.com (Twitter link). Detroit needn’t move Fulmer, who’s controllable through next season via arbitration, unless particulaly impressed by an offer.

I can’t blame the Mets for not meeting the asking price for Berrios or Kimbrel

The high prices have been for guys under contract next year, Turner, Berrios, Kimbrel.
Bryant, Baez, Davies, Iglesias.... Won't cost nearly as much

If the Cubs are still asking for someone like Vientos or better for Bryant, I don't mind at all settling for Baez and Davies, and Baez may resign to play 3B next year. That could be ok
