I thought Matz started today or are you referring to a future game?
I definitely don't like our chances now .
Springers been really struggling. The guy buckled his knee had an MRI, but says he's fine. He gets a ball off knee and says he's fine. Now he still can't play the outfield because of limited mobility.
Gurriel is now gone day to day MRI shows negative but now I wonder what the chances are of him going back to the same Gurriel.
Springer needs to be removed from the top of the lineup, or even the lineup in general. He’s obviously not healthy. He’s been trash at the plate other than some timely hits since he crashed into the wall.
actually the Yankees opened the door by losing 7 in a row, so if the Blue Jays dont make it they have no one to blame but themselves. statistically the Blue Jays are 8th in games lost due to injury The Yankees are 9th though Luis Severino wasnt counted because he wasnt on the opening day roster, if he had been the Yankees would be 6th. but here's the kicker...the Devil Rays are 2nd with over 2370 games lost due to injury.
thats over 600 ore than the Blue Jays.....Given those facts the Jays have been far more healthy than their Cheif Rivals. and to blame the teams not being good enough on injury is disingenuous. it simply isnt true

then there is covid 19
the Blue Jays had 6 players miss time due to covid 19
the Devil Rays had 9 players miss time due to covid 19
the Yankees had 13 players miss time due to covid 19
so as you can see the injury excuse just doesnt hold water
it was a reply to this statement
"Yeah the injuries are chipping away at the length of the lineup,"
you hear statements like this all the time by fans who I guess arent aware that the data is tracked by MLB. I wasnt sure whether you knew it or not. as you can see from the data the Blue Jays are no different than their main competitors. in fact they've been luckier than some.
oh its fine. I just thought you might like the data.Ive been hearing it all season long with the mets, and I really dont buy it. they've lost a ton of games played by injury, but thats really just an excuse, because even when they were healthy they were blowing games with stupid decision making and playing bad baseball. The Mets got what they deserve
im sure youve seen it with the Blue Jays as well. the way I look at it, when the Yankees lose 7 in a row in the middle of September to open the Door for the Blue Jays, then there's no excuse.
And they lost again .
It would be an absolute tragedy if this team doesn’t make the playoffs after they played so well for 3 weeks to get into the position. Especially losing games to the Twins.
Jays were 4 up on the Mariners and 1.5 up on the Yankees on Monday morning. Now we’re tied with Seattle and 2 back of the Yankees. Terrible week
Bo had a disgraceful game at the plate. Kirk has been freezing cold. George still can’t hit either.
If they ein the next 2, not really gonna get worried just yet. We lost the series 2-1 against Rays and tie Minny. So not the end of the world. Ultimately whether we win or lose is based on how we do against Yankees.
