Off topic but Gose called up. Has control issues but hope he works out.
Not everyone can be Ohtani but I think it could be a new trend where we have pitchers who come in as a pinch runner/hitter.

Blue Jays y'all are still a half game up on the Yankees but last night's loss to the Rays and the Yankees' win against the Rangers definitely didn't do y'all any favors last night
5 BB for Manoah through 3 innings. Rough.
6 BB for Manoah
2 for Richards
3 for Romano
Jays still win. Was a nail biter, but I'll take it.
I feel like we've been getting squeezed for balls and strikes the last month. It's been really noticeable since that A's series. At least that's when I really started noticing it.
Read an article in Yahoo sports today about Jays fans PO's about umping last night. They showed we had 8 balls called strikes against us but only one in our favor. Especially brutal in the ninth when Teoscar likely woulda walked in a run and the Valerra woulda walked in the 2nd run but the called 3rd strike was really not close to a strike. We lost 2 runs and 2 outs over Kulpa's incompetence. Hope we never see him again, he very well cost us last nights game.
Good to see the boys stay resilient today and win a griity game.
Now this game tonight against the Rays is basically a must win game if y'all think about it because tomorrow y'all have the Twins again but this time in a 4 game series
I would rather have the Jays schedule but Yankees get the Red Sox for 3 but still you guys would have to depend on the Red Sox to sweep the Yankees and then you guys would have to sweep or at least take 3 of 4 from the Twins to make it easier on yourselves as far as the Wild Card Race is concerned
Blue Jays lose the series against the Rays and honestly I think that could be y'alls undoing especially now that y'all have to face Minnesota now in a 4 game set and considering y'all have lost 1 game to the Twins when you guys played them at home, they are playing at home this time. Which means they will be highly motivated to beat you guys playing spoiler especially considering the Yankees won last night against the Rangers.
I think the Jays basically have to win all of their remaining series to be in. If there was a series we were likely to lose, this last one was it.
Montoyo suspended one game. Schneider managing tonight.
new respect for Pete Walker
