Yes that’s exactly what came to mind Vlad doesn’t have the defensive ability or mindset to play defense. Watch him at 1st, his footwork is all wrong it changes from play to play. After watching Keith Hernández for several years you learn a thing or two. It’s all about anticipation. Watch Anthony Rizzo who’s now in the AL East. He's been healthy which is a nice surprise but I rememebr reading he wasnt as sharp as he was in like june. Wonder if that still trended in july/aug and if its fatigue related.Quote:

I'm not going to lie, this season has been fun. A few upgrades to the bullpen and re-signing Ray and possibly Semien should bring us close.
I feel bad for the guys, though. If Springer stays healthy, we're probably looking at the postseason right now.

Gurriel gets a hit and then Dyson subs in as a pinch runner thinking that Dyson will steal and the next 2 guys will Grichuk and Smith will do something against a lefty. Why not sub Grichuk for Dyson, Dyson gets a sac bunt down and he may actually beat it !

With the sweep of A's and both Yanks and Sox losing today were only 2 back of the last wild card spot in loss column. Huge series with Yanks coming up we need 3/4 to make this interesting. Sox have close to a dozen on Covid reserve as well so they might be in trouble. Gonna be an exciting month to finish the regular season.
Great start to series with Yanks 8-0 final we on some roll. Hopefully Rays can take the game against Sox they up 1 in tenth.
Edit, Rays pulled it out just barely and we gain another game in WC !!
Gonna be tough to beat Cole tomorrow, let's hope we can sneak away with another W.

The entire starting rotation is exceptional right now. Kirk is finally healthy. Hernandez has had another really solid year. Gurriel has been hot for the past month... The whole team has played well pretty much all year with the exception of the bullpen. Thankfully that has stabilized a bit finally
