Lol when I read that on ESPN, I couldnt help but SMH. Baseball has too many meaningless stats.

I think we need a little perspective. Last night was a good place to pitch Nate. He looked really good on the three batters he got, especially the game ending strike out. If we have big leads I want to see him and Merriweather get some opportunities. Romano gave up a couple gopher balls in the past week also. I don't think they used much breaking stuff on Sanchez and Voit, so my sense was they thought they could overpower them. His slider on the last batter looked filthy.
A little note on our playoff odds, on August 28th we had a 4.4% chance to make playoffs, today we are 51% per fangraphs. Baseball reference expects the jays to win 94 games and gives them a 59.8% chance of postseason. Sports club stats says 66.3%.
Here's something crazy. Vlad Jr could win the triple crown, get his team in the playoffs, and he might not get a single 1st place vote for MVP.
Weird week so far. Sweep the Yankees but Ray loses to Baltimore.
We should still win the next 2 though.
The playoff thing probably doesnt sway much. The triiple crown thing might. I saw the predictions and pretty much everyone has Ohtani winning clean but thats because Vlad doesnt have the triple crown atm. Vlad gotta do something historic to supplant Ohtani (who to be fair shpuld probably win MVP anyway).
What a wild game 1.
Wow. As of this moment we are tied for the second wild card.
Broke it wide open in the 7th there.
Never seen an inning like that before. That was crazy. What a beating!
I thought after last night this series was going to go sideways on us. Gotta lock down the series with a W tomorrow.
