That inning just wowza now that's a team feeling it at the plate !!
Ever since the series against the A’s last weekend this team has looked so confident. Even though the A’s were scoring runs our bats were never out of it. The team is looking excellent at the most important part of the regular season.
What a ****en hilarious game 2 !!
They were about to be no hit which would've been helluva embarrassing, but then the 7th inning they were like , **** THIS LET'S SCORE 11 RUNS !!! LMAOOOOOO!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
Blue Jays are tied with the Yankees on a tiebreaker for the wild card but if y'all win today and let's say both the Yankees and Red Sox lose, the Blue Jays can take control of the AL East
This team needed to step it up to be in it this late and they sure as hell are doing it.
I turned the TV off after the Ryu **** show, and checked in in the second game at the start of the 7th, incredible offensive showing. Pearson throwing 2 scoreless innings in the 5th and 6th of the first game contained the damage and lo and behold Springer puts the capper on what looked like a sure loss. Mets and chisox blowing leads sucked but were at least tied for the WC. Our offence now has a .794 OPS. Someone asked in the thread which offence we'd prefer, the 2015 or 2021, for me the 2021 is far superior, the 2015 offence was about .760, had aging stars, we have young emerging stars, were far deeper in 2021 in the top 7. After Joey, Josh, Edwin, Russell Martin, and even Smoak, the rest of the 2015 team were .734ops or less.
Any word on what happened to Ryu? He has a worse ERA than Matz. Im glad hes healthy but I wonder if fatigue has kicked in. Makes me worry about future years.
2015 had 269/340/457 and 2021 has 266/331/461. Both pretty equal.
This team probabky has more flashiness whereas the 2015 team had more fear. The top 7 for each team is fun regardless to see in the playoffs.
Springer/Semien/Vlad/Bichette/Teo/Kirk/LGJ
Revere/JD/Jose/EE/Colabello/Tulo/Martin
LGJ on a tear.
Big 5 spot in the first, let's make this one a laugher.
I only compared the top 10 of the 2015 jays. The 2015 edition had Josh .939 ops, Jose .913, Eddy .929, Collabello's bench bat of .886, then we have noone over .800 ops for the rest of the starting line-up. Martin was .787, Smoak .768, Revere .734, Pillar .713, Tulo .697, Goins .672. This team is a more balanced and far deeper line-up in my opinion.
Oh I didnt realize you were using a different basis. That probably can create some distortion in the stats (especially since using the same basis, the OPS was similar). But regardless, I do think this team is more balanced. Colabello being on steroids and Tulo leaving a bad taste in most peoples months probably makes that decision easier for some more than others.
Tabler on LGJ "I think he's smoking hot".
Smfh.
Wow another 10 run inning in the 3rd so far. Team OPS just broke..800 up 6 points today
