You don't like him as a long-term piece?
It would depend on the contract for me, but Semien has been a reliable infielder in a defense with too few of them. I have some doubts about the player Biggio will end up being...

Terrible game calling by Montoyo in extras. In the bottom of the 11th runners on 1st and 2nd, has Espinal try to bunt while TB infield is playing 1b and 3b at about 45 feet away from the plate with McHugh only giving sliders and offspeed to try to bunt. He cant bunt those so what does Montoyo have him do on 2 strikes? Bunt again for a foul bunt third strike. He should have been swinging when the infield came that close.
Ya I’m getting torn on Semien. I was pretty set on trading him at the deadline if we weren’t good or letting him walk at the end of the year if we were. But he’s been an animal at the top of the lineup and I kinda want to keep him now.
Can’t wait for George to come back.
I definitely thought that to start the year, but seeing Biggio struggle so much has me questioning his long term fit in the infield. Groshans and Martin are nice prospects, but how they progress remains uncertain. I also have been impressed with Semien's leadership. I think he helps out Springer a bit as a veteran voice.
Depends on trade offers or how much we project him to cost. Also depends on where we are in the standings. Doubt they trade him if we are in contention.
Assuming Semien plays like this for a whole year, he probably gets a minimum $80 mil contract. I rather use that on pitching.
Biggio to DL.
Disagree here. With a very weak hitter at the plate you increase the chances of something good happening by calling for the bunt - even with 2 strikes. I'd call that 100% of the time. Now when he doesn't get it down yea it's frustrating, some blame the manager - but really it's on the player. Espinals issue was he didn't square around, it's why he kept bunting it foul.
Ray is dealing Tonight.
Tampa has players, they can play anywhere. lol
