Just so much wrong with it. All 5 QBs are top 10 (maybe), 3 RBs in the first. Chase and Smith all out of the top 10 with Waddle being 1st WR taken. List goes on and on for badness.

I have to say as a Cowboys fan I would not be too upset with that. Add a very good-elite starting CB, and a young stud DT than can play inside or on the edge. I would then package some picks to move up into the bottom of the 1st and draft Safety Trevon Moehrig. Adding Paye, Gilmore, and Moehrig on the first day of the draft would be huge and they would vastly improve the defense.

this is the first mock I have seen where not only is waddle the first WR taken, but smith and chase don't even go in the top 12.

Makes no sense to me either. Chase should be the runnaway best receiver in this group from watching all 3 of them. If the Bengals are smart enough to nab him at 5, the Joe and Ja'Marr show will not only be the best show in Cincinnati but in the league imo.

The problem with his stats for me is his team was absolutely stacked.

However the 49ers apparently trust his skillset enough that they are comfortable drafting him at 3 if the Jets take Wilson.

Plus, name the last Alabama QB who actually did anything in the NFL.
Well, it's Kenny Stabler, before that Joe Namath, before that Bart Starr.........since 1968? whole lotta nuttin' unless and until Tua does anything.

Mac, like Tua, had 2 WRs who went in the 1st rd plus some OL
I trust an Alabama QB in the NFL even less than a Heisman winner...

You don't trade up to 3 for Mac Jones, you trade up to have the option of Fields, Lance, or bail on QB and take Sewell or Pitts.

It's not like Ohio State QBs, or even North Dakota State QBs, have lit up the league.

FWIW, I agree that Jones likely is not worth trading up for, but it's silly to think that you somehow draft his college team and not the prospect himself.
