Fair enough, I just was asking because it fits in with another conversation I am having in another thread on her. I commend having basic standards and not jumping to the same games many play, you are an example of what I was trying to say in not everyone just does the partisan hackery.

Like with an issue I brought up in her past, it seems that the inability to prove intent is often part of the issue. I get why your judgement might be what it is given the approach taken and claiming that in itself proves the intent. I am not sure how I feel about that on if she should be in prison but it is definitely yet another issue/question among many that made her a poor candidate.

Well Valade just answered with his reason why and he thinks her private server is proof of intent it would seem which was a reason given she wasn't charged is they couldn't prove criminal intent.

As I was saying in the other thread most with basic standards would question a lot of aspects around her history. She was a bad candidate for many reasons and I even tried getting into them with you before you ditched out. Valade is a good example of someone not acting like a partisan hack when it comes to her past it seems.

I didn't argue it was successful. You argued who withdrew. Biden withdrew. Not Trump because he wasn't president despite how badly you wanted that to be the case.

Pure semantics on your play trying to tack on more nonsense to dislike Trump. Biden didn't follow the terms of withdrawal which is why the Afghanistan debacle happened.

Trump was the one who initiated talks for a withdrawal. The only reason it didn't happen under Trump's presidency is because you had to give ample time for the Afghan government to readjust without the presence of U.S. military. This is why the U.S. forces withdrew in batches rather than fully pulling out. Unfortunately, once Biden became president, he wanted to take credit for the withdrawal and in reality, ended up handling it poorly. Be honest with yourself: Do you think the Taliban would seize upon Afghanistan if Trump was still president? I expect a serious answer.

I think Trump would have sent in more troops to keep that from happening and we’d still be in Afghanistan. Would that have been better in your mind?

Initiating talks for withdrawal or even agreeing to withdrawal doesn't mean withdrawal happens, you do realize that right? It still had to happen and for a myriad of reasons, it might not have. Giving the Afghan government ample time to readjust did what exactly? They were taken over by the Taliban in basically no time as US forces began to retreat and prepare for full withdrawal. One can argue they never had the infrastructure in place to handle themselves, despite American forces having trained over 300,000 Afghani troops and police officers.

Its not semantics. The action of withdrawal actually has to happen, irrespective of whether you or Special like to pretend it was all Trump's doing. As for your question, I agree with Valade 100%. If the Taliban takes the action they did while Trump is in office, we're still there indefinitely and there's zero reason to believe they wouldn't have.

Leaving Afghanistan was the correct decision. How Biden handled it was poor. It was not how it was originally intended to be done under Trump's negotiated terms.

I don't believe more troops would have been sent. The existing amount of troops there would have clearly had to stay there longer if an attack on U.S. military members was present. When the negotiation terms with the Taliban was done, no U.S. military member was killed. When Biden decided to change the terms, violence occurred. Taliban knew Trump was hot-headed and would have ordered an attack to wipe out the Taliban as a show of power. Taliban knows Biden lacks the critical decision-making skills to go aggressive on them. One thing you have to give credit to Trump for was staying out of military conflicts. IMO, he wanted to avoid any possible war or conflict but if something happened, he desperately wanted to attack them violently to satisfy his ego. If I were the Taliban, I would much rather deal with Biden than Trump. What say you?

Just because an event happened under another presidency doesn't mean the action to do so wasn't done by another president. The motions to do so matter. How something led to another matters. You're just trying to ignore the contextual side of things to again, justify your hate for Trump. It's embarrassing. If nothing else, acknowledge that Trump was the one who got things started to withdraw the troops. You even acknowledged that the withdrawal was handled poorly by Biden but now you're trying to give him credit for being the president when the withdrawal happened?
