They already found his organization guilty of tax fraud. Its hard for me to believe they wont find it among his personal finances. I get Trump is going to point to his audit but there's talk now that he wasn't audited at all.

Well one thing we already know is that his taxes weren’t audited in 2017 and 2018. The audits occurred after the Tax committee asked to see the records.

So no I don’t see how this is going to blow up on anyone.

Of course those who come to Elon's defense will say the stock market (as a whole) is taking a beating but they're foolish if they think his negative press hasn't affected Tesla shares. They certainly will whenever he decides to make Twitter public again as well.

To be fair Tesla’s stock has been overvalued for years. I’m sure his publicity is having an impact but most of the companies stock value has been from hype and not based on profits and assets Or performance.

Everyone loved Elon. Tesla had no business being a $1,000 dollar stock but it was easy to run up and had the retail buying in especially your 18 year old RH investors..

Now, because he came out and said he was voting Republican everyone is dumping it. Tesla itself had no fundamental change in terms of what they are doing and what they are worth etc

Oh that’s not why everyone is dumping it. He said that back when he was relatively sane and level headed. After that he imploded and ran Twitter to the ground while being more arbitrary and anti free speech than the Old Twitter ever was (which is hard to do).

Seems a trend recently for celebrities to declare their switching to voting for Republicans before going absolutely crazy.

Crying about how another rich guy is being treated. I said the same thing to those who support Kanye, Hershell, Trump, or Irving. With their team of lawyers, financial advisors, personal attendants, PR coordinators, and valet, they will be ok.

The company being led by a crazy guy who alienated the folks who were buying his cars in exchange for the people who think his cars (and all electric cars) are a commie scam absolutely impacts the value of Tesla.
