Unless and until Gaetz is found guilty in court, he is not guilty. Remember the presumption of innocence?
If he did what he is accused of, he should go to prison, but it is up to a court to decide that, not the media.
I have said this in the past with no support, but I think it's best for all involved, if we can be sure of a real fair process, that all such investigations happen as secretly as possible. This stuff going public before the investigation often makes the investigation harder and often makes the victim's life horrible and can ruin the life of the accused regardless of the outcome. Kobe's wife was talking about it last week, how an accusation followed her husband to his death (and she insists he was innocent).
There are no good answers unfortunately. I just learned of an investigation at my daughters school, and while I'm curious I'm not going to ask any questions because, hopefully, my daughter is not directly effected (though she knows both people involved well).
one doesn't have to believe Franken or the woman, there is a picture involved.

despite a picture, some still felt the need to defend and support Franken.

Democrats Need to Learn From Their Al Franken Mistake
the picture I provided is/was not appropriate, period.Quote:
Al Franken, the former Democratic senator from Minnesota, should never have been pressured, even bullied, into resigning from office. The accusations against him were not properly vetted. Their seriousness was not properly weighed. Nevertheless, the frenzy that followed the accusations resulted in his Democratic colleagues making it impossible for him to continue as a senator.
the side that was all about believing women and taking this seriously, does not and did not want to act the same way when its their side.
