Wading into a crowd to put themselves in more danger is not their job. No sane person would say it was. Show me anywhere on that day that the police pushed past the outer line of insurrectionists to trap themselves and then turn around and deal with the mob. There's a ton of pictures and video of that day, and if this is what they're "trained to do" then it shouldn't be difficult to find.

Let me know when you find one example of this thing you are insisting they should've done.

As far as the officers being attacked, that is what they are trained for. That is what they are equipped for. That is their job. If they couldn't do their jobs properly, they should have never been hired.

The most likely outcome of this whole attack would have still been someone dying because of their stupid decisions. That's regardless if the officers were in point A, B, or W. These criminals, Babbitt included, were willing to fight, beat up, push, break, and destroy anything in their path. They wanted to get hold of politicians and threaten, or actually harm/kill, them into submission until the election was overturned. They were told for years that their freedoms were being taken, their country was under attack, and that their voice wasn't heard. They were told to "fight like hell". It doesn't matter where the officers were that day. There were not nearly enough officers there to subdue an angry mob. I don't think it's respectful at all to judge how they handled that day. They did the best they could given the circumstances. Any one of those terrorists, like Babbitt, who got themslves hurt or killed did it to themselves. There should be ZERO discussion of what the capitol police did to protect the building, the people, and themselves.

They didn't "simply walk away from their post," as I've shown you repeatedly. No reasonable person could watch the video, see the officer point at those arriving, see him look above the crowd to those arriving, hear him say to those with him "they're ready to roll" and gesture for the others to follow him, and come to the conclusion that they "simply walked away" as if it was their break time.

I will continue to wait for literally any example of what you are advocating they should've done.

Were they properly relieved? Was their relief in place prior to them leaving? As to me providing any example of what they should have done, have you seen what police in riot gear did in the riots during the summer of 2020? That is what they should have done. They do not need to be nice to the rioters. They won't hurt anyone's feelings by doing their jobs.

You realize that you're the only one who has said anything about them being relieved, right? This is a thing you've made up, and then run with it as if it's a known fact that they were ever going to be replaced at that position by anyone else. The fact that before any shooting happened one of them said to the others "They're ready to roll" and then moved away tells us that was never the intention.

Again, why else would they say that and then move away? Why wouldn't either of the other officers say "Who is? Roll where?"

These are questions you can't answer, and won't attempt to, because we both know that the answers all point to the same thing: what they were doing was coordinated.

Or those three just had hockey tickets and were afraid they were going to miss the puck drop.

I wonder which ones of those seems more reasonable?

Your desperation, as I said, is entertaining.

I will explain something more to you one time and only one time. An area as important as this one must not be left unguarded from the public side, regardless of what you, in your desperation, want to believe. The guards can not simply walk away from their posts without being properly relieved, as happened here (remember, the guards left at 1:35 in your video and no relief had arrived when Ms Babbitt was killed at 2:13).
If this area was the only "escape route" for the congressional delegation, why would 3 guards simply leave it so sparsely guarded as they did?
I really don't expect you to actually answer this, as you have no idea what the answer is, but you wil continue with your failed narrative, giving me more entertainment. Perhaps silence would be your best move here?
