And you have not said that towns should not have confederate statues. (no, saying you don't support the people portrayed in them is not the same thing).
They are unacceptable in polite society.

Nate, I have taken a very firm position here as I always do. I do not support the people portrayed in the statues.
Now that you are once again educated on a misconception that you have, it's time for you to get back to work and for me to get some sleep so I can go to work in the morning.
I am not evasive like you are. I answer questions directly and do not try to misrepresent my point of view.
They should not have been built in the first place, but that society was far different than this one is. And yes, saying that I do not support the people portrayed in the statues is the same thing. The statue, itself, is inanimate and could have been anything. It could have been a deer, a bear, a fish or left alone to remain a rock. The sculptor decided what it was to become. The statues portray offensive people.
Stop supporting bigotry.
Saying "I don't support the people portrayed in the statues but I'm fine with them staying up if the city decides to keep it up" is not remotely the same thing as "I do not think the town should have confederate statues."
Why are you OK with those offensive things being up if they decide to do so but not using the word Fredo if someone decides to do so? You don't have a say in the matter either way. What's the difference?
I have answered that question with far more clarity than you ever answer a direct question I ask you. It took you over 7 pages to tell me when you felt an abortion was necessary. You had to go to google to determine your opinion on what a necessary abortion was.
Nate, just because you don't like an answer doesn't mean the answer wasn't there.
Now get back to work. You need to actually accomplish something other than spending time on an internet message board.
Have I said I am OK with them? If so, show me. For your edification (again) I do not support the people portrayed in the statues. The attitudes those people had toward blacks was abhorrent.
Stop supporting bigotry. It is not a good look.
Not an explanation, simply stating it as a fact.
Not an explanation.
Not an explanation.
Not an explanation.
Which is these was one of your "answers with far more clarity than I ever answer a direct question with"?
I have answered your question on many occasions. Just for you, so you can actually get to work sometime tonight, I will answer again. To use a word that has obvious ethnic connotations to degrade someone is derogatory toward that ethnicity. The use of the term "F***o" to describe someone that is dumb is degrading to Italians, regardless of the 3 people you quoted. There was a time when blacks did not think that racial slurs were wrong, too.
Now that your misconception is once again corrected, stop lying about me.
Edit:
If you spent as much time doing something constructive as you do trying to support your claims (which always prove to be false), life would be a lot better for you. You are fighting a losing effort, as you always do. Everything you posted from me is clearer than anything you have ever tried to use as an answer to a question.
