There is a saying in the Harley Davidson world* that seems apropos: If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand.

Some people really like Star Wars, some people really like murdering people, they're totally comparable!
Who else here is shocked that the forum's resident decrepit racist from a time America wishes it could forget would be so happy to see black citizens "elevate themselves" (notice the responsibility is 100% on them) to take their rightful place in American society, but completely rejects the idea of relieving their oppression while at the same time acknowledging and trying to distance himself from the white supremacist groups whose rhetoric he constantly spews out? lol Who is even more surprised that he prefers the quality of life black people had and references decades ago when they were even more thoroughly oppressed? Surely racist sluggo doesn't prefer the good 'ol times when he could be more openly racist than he already disgustingly is.
That's the problem, it is the same old story for you. Your disdain for minorities and black people is so off the charts you feel like it is normal. You can't even offer up this concession of your racism without going on a rant about how you think black people are lazy and how they need to pull up their bootstraps and just assimilate into your Leave it to Beaver milk with supper creepy ****ing America fantasy. None of the oppression and racism they face is worth any sort of relief or acknowledgement. You're ****ing delusional to think that the best way for black people to deal with racism and oppression is to just accept it and put up with it.
You seeing no indication of money spent and programs initiated working doesn't really mean anything, because you're not interested in any of the success or progress because you register that sort of progress as liberal hogwash and some sort of furthering of the divide, as if addressing the hurt of black people is damage to white people. Not to mention your absolute inability to register that the ongoing attitudes of racists like you create new problems and twists on them even when solutions are offered. You really don't have to look further than the GOP's most basic machinations to understand this, but it's not even that complicated. "Things were racist and we tried to fix it but the racists kept doing more and new racism so we must not do anything about racism, black people must just shut up and learn to live their life the way I do, despite the the discrimination and disadvantages they face that my life does not have. Just make up the difference magically." is the stunted racist thinking that keeps the push for equality you hate so much going. You start this entire thing out acknowledging the hate groups that terrorize black people and admitting they are not equal in society...yet think the best way to fix it is to just ignore it and have them play pretend lol. ****ing revolting.
They feel like a "separate branch" because of people like you who are constantly ****ing pointing out how differently you view them and belittling them (which of course, you don't notice, because the racism is normal to you). The only train anyone has missed is the one you refused to hop on coming out of an even cruder and more racist period of America, and that was like five decades ago. It's not coming back no matter how much you idolize it, but I have to commend your efforts to live in it.
It may not be personal but it is very racist, it's the very ****ing definition of racism lol.
You were more fun when you were telling us how interning Japanese-American citizens was totally understandable and how Muslim immigrants could never be true Americans, at least then you were a cartoon moustache twirling racist, now you're just this strange old man who is constantly upset that black people have normal pleasantries in life that have zero impact on your own prehistoric one.

If I didn't have enough reason to hate the San Francisco Giants already.
