they were wrong for rioting, but nobody should be dumb enough to think they were going to change the election results.

I would imagine many of them rioting were not smart enough, probably didn't even think they would get in like they did, and once they were in didn't know what to do so they sat in offices and stole property.

If they were trying to downplay the riot why would they film right in front of a fire?

Typical Trumpster. Seize a Federal Building and don't know what to do next so they steal a podium and take pictures behind Pelosi's desk and then post them on the internet. Running around in costumes yelling like a maniac. Confederate flag here, Trump flag there, and QAnon over and under. Or people just milling around and talking. It was missing the BBQ conversed oil can and someone throwing a frisbee. Amazing how they found the democrats' offices so easy. I saw footage on tv of one Trumpster dressed in a minute man get up. The man was asked about why he felt the election was stolen and he said something along the lines of “ Dominion machines were used to steal the election, and everything but lose, and he has left girlfriends with less evidence of them cheating “ if some can explain to that loser, how dumb he is.
