In the case of the slur, I realize that Italians are not a separate race. They are, however, an ethnic group. To call one a "Fredo" is to question their intelligence, based on their ethnicity. Calling anyone an ethnic slur (in this case calling her a "Fredo") is unacceptable. As I said, to call her out for less than stellar intellect is a statement of fact. There are far better ways to call her out than to resort to an ethnic (racist) slur.
Is this better? I am not calling people out for anything but hypocrisy.

The comparison was to the QUOTE used though, not the character.

Fredo isn’t an ethnic slur, it just happened to be the name of the character being quoted.

That you don’t understand this makes me want to call you Fredo.

This is where we disagree. If I were to call a person a "Pablo" or a "Sambo", that would be considered racist. As I said, I have no disagreement with the questioning of her intellect, but there are far better ways to call her out than to use an ethnic slur.

Depends how you are using it.

If you’re using a quote from a character named Pablo where he talks about his intelligence, what does that have to do with race?

Nobody was called Fredo to dis Italians. The ethnic makeup of the character has no part of how it was used here.

Call her out for her lack of intelligence if you wish. I have no objection to doing so, as I also feel she comes up short in that area. Please do so without using an ethnic slur, however.

I don’t think the folks you’re arguing with disagree with the point you’re stating about ethnic slurs.

But in this situation in no way was Wes alluding to this character’s ethnic background. Rather a quote from the movie relating to said characters intelligence. How are you not picking up on this?
