So, his assertion that "More and more blacks are switching to the GOP" (his words from post 8010) is false. The article references people of color, which in their polling analysis finds that more latino/hispanic voters were going republican. But to brewers, that means black.
In all fairness, the article does state:
But that's not all that's going on. Democratic support from Asian American, Black and Hispanic voters is much lower than it has usually been. (See my previous analyses on these different parts of the electorate.)
It's important to think about why this is happening. Could it be that there are more uneducated people of color being duped in a way similar to rural whites? Could it be that the democrats have made too many broken promises?
The truth is that most democrats and all of the GQP aren't good for average Americans. But they are very good at convincing people to vote for them. There are only a handful of progressive who would actually change things for the better for everyone.
In my opinion, it's shameful that we even think about voting data by race. We're all American. We all deserve representation based on policy, not on race. Sadly, we have an entire party that has no direction on policy and another party that mostly talks a big game but ultimately does little to nothing.
