For what it’s worth, the reasons why I believe this is a cult and not just another political movement is that there is clearly no underlying core beliefs or shared power infrastructure. This is not creating a sustainable organization to execute a political vision. This is one man using his position to accumulate money, power and fame for himself. If he deems people sufficiently loyal to him personally (not any ideal) then he allows them to stay in his orbit and gain what they can from that proximity. Trumps allegiance isn’t to god, country or party. His allegiance is to himself and he expects everyone else to be the same.

No need to bother with specific examples since it'll go in one ear and right out the other, but you certainly come across as someone that laps up the nonsense organizations like FOX, Newsmax, and OAN push.
