EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: From a Jewish and Israeli point of view, there are two main issues to look at when analyzing the activities of American Jewish billionaire George Soros. The first are his damaging statements and actions against Jews and Israel, and the second are antisemitic attacks on Soros himself. For Jews, the problems that arise around these issues require fine tuning of their reactions to Soros’s statements and actions.

George Soros is a complex figure about whom there is much debate. Many of his activities around the world have no impact on Jewish matters, so there is no reason for Jews to enter into public disputes over whether he should be classified as a major philantropist or a king of speculators.

What does concern Jews, however, is that Soros spreads lies about antisemitism. At a rare meeting in a Jewish environment, Soros spoke before the Jewish Funders Network Conference in New York in 2003. He was asked about antisemitism in Europe and said, “There is a resurgence of antisemitism in Europe. The policies of the Bush administration and the Sharon administration contribute to that… It’s not specifically antisemitism, but it does manifest itself in antisemitism as well. I’m critical of those policies…” He blamed the “resurgence of antisemitism in Europe” on Israel and insisted that “If we change that direction, then antisemitism will also diminish.”

Nobody present at the meeting took him to task for his extreme and false blaming of the victim. Soros was ignoring the basics of Europe’s extreme antisemitism conditions, which have existed for more than 1500 years.

Soros, a typical Jewish masochist, added that he himself bears some responsibility for the new antisemitism. To bolster this point, he quoted Malaysian PM Mahathir bin Muhammad, who said, “Jews rule the world by proxy.” Soros said, “As an unintended consequence of my actions, I also contribute to that image.”

Abraham Foxman, then national director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), called Soros’s comments on antisemitism “absolutely obscene.” Foxman said blaming the victim for Israel’s and the Jewish people’s ills was bigoted and biased.

Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations Malcolm Hoenlein also responded to Soros’s comments, saying:

Antisemites don’t need excuses. If the quote is accurate, it reflects a fundamental misunderstanding about antisemitism. It’s ridiculous and unacceptable to say that attacks on Jews are related to Bush or Sharon’s policies, while ignoring the real reason: a deep antipathy toward Jews in the Arab world and the occasional indifference on the part of European governments. Antisemitism in Europe reached a peak during the Barak government, during the Camp David 2 and Taba negotiations.

In short, Soros has a big mouth on issues that he understands little to nothing about.

Soros foundations fund a variety of bodies, including many Jewish and anti-Israeli organizations. NGO-Monitor has written a report on these donations, which vary greatly. According to the report, the Simon Wiesenthal Center received $450 from Soros while the anti-Israel Human Rights Watch received $100 million.

One issue about which Soros is heavily criticized is his interference in the internal affairs of many countries. The declared objective of his Open Society Foundations (OSF) is to “work to build vibrant and tolerant democracies whose governments are accountable and open to the participation of all people.” That translates into the OSF intruding into both closed and democratic societies. These intrusions include the large-scale funding of political NGOs.

The OSF grants money to political NGOs in Israel through its “Arab Regional Office (ARO)–Palestinian Citizens of Israel” department. The ARO, headed by Ammar Abu Zayyad, is one of a number of funding mechanisms for Israeli and Palestinian NGOs in the OSF network.

Soros is also involved in such activities outside Israel, for example by assisting organizations that are permeated by antisemitism. Caroline Glick of the Jerusalem Post claimed in 2016 that Black Lives Matter received “$650,000 from Soros-controlled groups over the past year.”

Republican US Senator Tom Cotton, in a speech on the Senate floor, accused the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, a new think tank funded by Soros and fellow billionaire Charles Koch, of fostering antisemitism. Cotton did not provide details.

Criticism of Soros’s activities goes far beyond what has been listed here. The OSF made more than $1 billion betting against the British pound on Black Wednesday in 1992, for example—a speculation that forced the British government to pull out of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM). Another highly problematic move by Soros was his granting of more than £400,000 to a pro-EU group to help try and reverse Brexit.

Soros is also often criticized for bankrolling the successful campaigns of radical candidates for district attorneys in the US.

There is one Soros-related issue that the Jewish world cannot ignore. Many articles about Soros attack him because he is a Jew. The Spanish-language Radio Television Marti network, for instance, which broadcasts pro-US content in Cuba, aired a report that called Soros a “multimillionaire Jew” of “flexible morals” who was the “architect of the financial collapse of 2008.”

In Europe, the effort to demonize him has been both fueled and harnessed by nationalist leaders like PM Viktor Orban of Hungary and politicians in formerly communist countries like Macedonia, Albania, and Russia.

“Antisemitism works by inversion. It works by lying. It works by conflating,” said Ruth Wisse, an emeritus professor of Yiddish literature at Harvard University and conservative writer. “And it’s so difficult to pull some of the threads apart. This is one of the most difficult situations one can be in: when you have a Jewish anti-Jew who is attacked by antisemites.”

For Jews, the problems that arise around these attacks on Soros require fine tuning. One person who ran into trouble on this was the Israeli ambassador to Budapest, Yossi Amrani, who condemned a Hungarian poster campaign attacking Soros. He said it encouraged antisemitism.

The next day, the Israeli Foreign Ministry came out with a statement that was highly critical of Soros, but did not explicitly say its ambassador had been wrong. The statement was an exercise in verbal acrobatics.

The FM’s statement said Soros was a legitimate target for criticism and that the ambassador had meant to denounce the campaign only as it could be seen as fomenting antisemitic sentiment. It then came down hard on Soros as anti-Israel, saying, “In no way was the statement meant to delegitimize criticism of George Soros, who continuously undermines Israel’s democratically elected governments by funding organizations that defame the Jewish state and seek to deny it the right to defend itself.”

This statement characterizes Soros’s activities very well. It means that Jews will have to go on confronting his many negative influences concerning Israel, stupid remarks on antisemitism, and so on.

While the high-profile politicians on the left receive most of the attention, people tend to forget that they are only able to push their agenda if they’ve got the money to do so. One of the major sources for that money: radical leftist billionaire George Soros, who is single-handedly funding many of the left’s progressive projects. Here are nine things you need to know about him.

1. Soros is a convicted felon. Soros was convicted of insider trading in France in 2002, a court determining that he had “acted with the knowledge that the bank might be a takeover target,” according to Bloomberg. The court ordered Soros to pay 2.2 million euros, or $2.9 million, in restitution.


2. Soros comes from an anti-Semitic Jewish family and was a Nazi collaborator. “My mother was quite anti-Semitic, and ashamed of being Jewish,” Soros said in an interview with CBS’ 60 Minutes. “Given the culture in which one lived, being Jewish was a clear-cut stigma, disadvantage, a handicap-and, therefore, there was always the desire to transcend it, to escape it.”

Soros later said in the interview that he did not feel any remorse “about confiscating property from Jews as a teenager.”

“I don’t deny the Jews their right to a national existence–but I don’t want to be part of it,” Soros said.


Soros is a rabid anti-Israel advocate, and has compared Israel to the Nazis.

3. Soros basically funds the leftist mainstream media. The Media Research Center chronicled back in 2011 how Soros has ties to over 30 news outlets in the mainstream media. For instance, at the time of the MRC report, the Soros-funded Pro-Publica’s Journalism Advisory Board featured the following journalists:

Jill Abramson – New executive editor of The New York Times;
Kerry Smith – The senior vice president for editorial quality of ABC News;
Cynthia A. Tucker – The editor of the editorial page of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Abramson, who has since been fired from the Times, is now a columnist for The Guardian. Tucker is no longer the editor at the AJC, but is a syndicated columnist and commentator.

The following members of the media have also been on the boards or advisory boards of Soros groups as well:

Christiane Amanpour – Anchor of ABC’s Sunday morning political affairs program, ”This Week with Christiane Amanpour.” A reliable lefty, she has called tax cuts ”giveaways,” the Tea Party ”extreme,” and Obama ”very Reaganesque;”
Matt Thompson – Editorial product manager at National Public Radio and an adjunct faculty member at the prominent Poynter Institute.

Ben Sherwood – ABC News president and former ”Good Morning America” executive producer;
Kathleen Hall Jamieson – Author and the Walter H. Annenberg Dean of the Annenberg School for Communication of the University of Pennsylvania;
Michele Norris – Host of NPR’s newsmagazine ”All Things Considered,” public radio’s longest-running national program.
Phil Bronstein, director of content development and editor-at-large for Hearst Newspapers;
David Boardman, The Seattle Times;
Len Downie, former Executive Editor of the Washington Post, now VP;
George Osterkamp, CBS News producer.
Amanpour is now the CNN’s chief international correspondent and host of Amanpour. Thompson is now the deputy editor of The Atlantic, Norris now works for the The Race Card Project. Bronstein has since left Hearst for a bigger role at Soros-funded Center for Investigative Reporting, and Boardman is now the Dean of the School of Media and Communication at Temple University.

Additionally, the CRI lists The Washington Post, Salon, CNN and ABC News as “media partners.”

Soros also funds the Clinton-allied Media Matters organization, which numerous media outlets – including The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times – have used for content.

4. Soros created a “Shadow Party” of leftist organizations that basically have control of the Democrat Party. According to Discover the Networks, the McCain-Feingold law allowed for organizations called “527 committees,” defined as independent groups that could produce “issue-oriented ads, voter-education initiatives, get-out-the-vote drives, and other ‘party-building’ activities'” that moved the Democrat Party further to the left. Some of these organizations included MoveOn.org and Center for American Progress.

5. Soros is bankrolling Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Investor’s Business Daily reports that Soros gave $9 million to pro-Clinton Super PACs and “was able to dictate State Department policy in Albania.” Soros also recently had dinner with Clinton’s vice-president, Tim Kaine.

6. Soros is connected with Donald Trump. Soros funded the building of Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago to the tune $160 million. In fact, the two had a cozy relationship at one point, according to The Daily Beast.

In 2011, Trump even told conservatives to “forget Soros, leave him alone, he’s got enough problems.”

While Soros is committed to defeating Trump, he did help prop up Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) in the primary, siphoning off votes from Sen. Ted Cruz and paving the way for Trump to win. It’s not outside of the realm of possibility that Soros, believing his old buddy Trump wouldn’t stand a chance against Clinton, made sure that he would be the nominee over Cruz.

7. Soros’ Open Society Foundation says that Europe’s refugee crisis should be viewed as the “new normal.” A leaked memo from OSF states the following, via The Daily Caller:

“Accepting the current crisis as the new normal and moving beyond the need to react.”

“Observing our partners as they respond and adjust to the new reality in light of the crisis in Europe and the Mediterranean, we see little attention given to long-term planning or fundamentally new approaches to advocacy.” The conclusion also stresses the need to fight back against “growing intolerance toward migrants.”

8. Soros funds Black Lives Matter groups. According to a Washington Times analysis of the Soros-funded OSF’s tax returns, the organization gave at least $33 million to BLM groups in one year. The Daily Beast attempted to cover for Soros, but their story was based on OSF simply denying they fund BLM and trying to claim that it would be impossible to track the $33 million.

9. Soros’ funding has a tendency to benefit himself. The Washington Free Beacon reports:

While Soros has increased his multi-million dollar investments in both U.S. and foreign companies that extract shale oil and gas, the Obama administration has championed natural gas as a less carbon-intensive bridge fuel toward a “clean-energy future.” The administration’s proposal to offer incentives to companies that use trucks powered by natural gas would benefit Westport Innovations, a company that converts diesel engines for natural gas use and is partially owned by Soros’ hedge fund.

Soros’ political advocacy also tends to blend with his investments. He proposed in 2009 that developed countries create a “green fund” to combat climate change in developing countries by directing billions from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) toward forestry, land-use, and agricultural projects. Soros’ fund controls more than a $200 million stake in Adecoagro, a Luxembourg-based company that owns hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland in South America and would benefit from the IMF cash infusion.

With over 1.2 billion Catholics worldwide and about a third of Americans calling themselves Catholic, George Soros and John Podesta infiltrating the Catholic Church [to foment open rebellion to force through Marxism] is a big deal. That is what is going on and has been for some time.

A WikiLeaks email from February of 2012, has John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign Chair, and the president of Voices for Progress discussing how to “plant the seeds of revolution” within the Catholic Church. Like true Marxist-Stalinists, they especially wanted to do this when Catholic bishops opposed the HHS-Obamacare contraceptive mandate.

Podesta acknowledges in the email that they have organizations already set up to infiltrate and corrupt the teachings of the Catholic Church. Sandy Newman, president of Voices for Progress, a Marxist organization, wrote to Podesta in an email thread with the subject, “Opening for a Catholic Spring? Just musing…”

She calls the church a “Middle Ages dictatorship”and Podesta responds by talking about one of the sham Soros-funded “Catholic” organizations – Alliance for the Common Good – is meant to do just what she goes on to describe in her email — infiltrate and destroy the Catholic Church as it stands.

There are quite a few of these “Catholic” organizations and most are funded by George Soros. Podesta mentioned Catholics United in his response which is another one of these subversive groups.

What Podesta, once-Chair of the Soros-funded Center for American Progress, said is that the movement is already underway to gut the Catholic Church of its teachings.


Sandy Newman, president of liberal/leftist Voices for Progress, and John Podesta, then chair of the Soros-funded Center for American Progress, discussed promoting contraception as a way to create a “revolution” and undermine the “middle ages dictatorship” of the Catholic Church in a 2012 email exchange. Contraceptives are morally unacceptable, according to Church teaching.

Catholics for a Free Choice and the Quixote Center – also funded by Soros – use Catholicism to promote liberal [leftist] values like “truly accessible” abortion, condemning contraceptive opposition as “disastrous” to women, and supporting “gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender” policies, which are contrary to Church teaching.

“We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this,” Podesta revealed, exposing the group’s anti-Catholic intentions. The group, along with at least 16 others, have received more than $4.5 million from Soros. [see chart via Media Research Center]




The Catholic organizations are also being used to promote illegal immigration and refugee resettlement with millions pouring in for the care of the flood of foreigners.

Catholic Charities is run by leftists and many of the Jesuit Catholic universities barely resemble Catholic facilities. They have already been swayed by the left-wing staff they have hired and George Soros money. Social Justice has become a rallying cry.

Soros isn’t only a threat to Catholics. Soros see the United States and Capitalism as evil and has said so.

George Soros has said he is a god and “the creator of everything,” however the billionaire globalist also warns he is a “self-centered” god who believes “normal rules do not apply” to him.


“I fancied myself as some kind of god …” he wrote. “If truth be known, I carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble.“

When asked by Britain’s Independent newspaper to elaborate on that statement, Soros doubled down: “It is a sort of disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything, but I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out.“

Soros wrote in his book, The Bubble of American Supremacy, that the United States is a “threat to the world,” run by a Republican Party that is the devil child of an unholy alliance between “market fundamentalists” and “religious fundamentalists.” We have become a “supremacist” nation.

He is distorting the concept of American exceptionalism. We are an exceptional nation of freedoms and individual rights and prosperity seen nowhere else in the world.

When this Atheist talks about “religious fundamentalists”, he is referring to Christians.

George Soros and John Podesta lead a shadow party of leftist social justice warriors who are no longer in the shadows but are not seen, even in plain sight. They are the ones who will rule as elites and they will make billions more in their Socialist Utopia.
