That's my general temperament. I still hope for losses because I covet a Top4 selection in the draft and the gain is much bigger long term than making the play in. The difference between 9 and 15 picks doesn't really move any needle long term. Increasing chances of luck has meaning for me. Player development does too. It will be what it will be.Quote:

Keep in mind, we still have some season left to change those numbers. Also, that was Kawhi's highest steal season. He has averaged 1.8 per season. I don't see OG becoming Kawhi, but I can see him being pretty darned close and that would be awesome.
I dont know if it's fair to make any assessment on Fred. He is not 100% and you can tell that he doesn't have the same bounce to his step.

Yup, and if he can continue on the trajectory he has shown improving his 3pt and FT percentages, he has 50/40/85+ potential with elite defense....as early as next season! He has put up 20+ points in 5 straight games.....which is the longest streak of his NBA career to date. If he can keep getting 15 FGA or so per game until the end of the season I think that could go a long way in his development. They are paying him like a 2 way star, so it would really be nice if he can grow into that player sooner rather than later.Quote:

Yah I think you hit that point well. What I meant to say is that flynns looking like the better "PG". To me the arrival of birch has masked a lot of this defences problem. The raptors defence looks a lot better when flynns guarding the ball up top and fighting over the screens. ANd the man has been amazing in the fourth quarters. A lot of those wide open threes all year long has been that lapse in the defence on point of attack and then its just a simple kick out to the corners. with watanabe on the wing and flynn on pg duty the defence looks like its on a string. And recently watanbe has been shooting it light out. Has a nice dribble and in between game as well.
I think Freddy is a sneaky good defender. Honestly I think hes playing hurt right now. He said in the post game interview that he was feeling like **** and that his body sucked, Im guessing that means somethings wrong.Quote:

If Lowry leaves I think FVV does slide over to the 1 while Trent Jr starts at the 2, but with the way Flynn has been playing fans should feel good about him as a back up going forward. I hear ya but most pgs are like that now. I think Fred gets into trouble when teams are switching and he is forced to create a play out of nothing. He can be really good at it but he will also have games where he is forced into traffic and the pass options are limited.Quote:
