No no no! This is a good thing!

Raps signing Birch.
He's a decent body. Has some defensive potential. Already old though.
Even when fully healthy, we don't have the depth to consistently win back to backs. In a condensed season, you pretty much need to win back to backs for a chance at .500 ball. In a longer normal season, a reversion would be possible, but I just don't see it happening this season.
Curious how you'd project the final 20 games. I've been known to be overly optimistic before. I just can't ignore some of those items that predict future performance (ie. point differential) that have us predicted with a higher expected record. It is totally possible in this strange season that we are what our record shows. I'm hoping for a lower record. I wonder if the team makes choices to ensure it (keeping players out).
Lol. I can see how you got there.
I hear you but id start him over Baynes lol 😆
All jokes aside, if we had a legit C all year and Baynes was simply a back up I think we would actually be happy with him. I know that he does come off the bench when Siakam starts at the 5 but that’s out of necessity. I don’t really wanna go small next year with Siakam banging at the 5. He could end up getting injured. He’s a finesse big.
There's just more noise this season so you can't really rely on those statistical markers. I mean our final stretch of games are against a lot of playoff teams fighting for positioning. I don't really see us winning any of those, maybe sneak a couple wins here and there. Even at full strength, .500 would be quit difficult in this final stretch. Next 20 games, I could see us winning maybe 5-7 games.
Lowry, FVV, Siakam, OG, Trent jr, Boucher.
Problem is we’re only about 6 deep. Can’t imagine them in the loffs this year tbh. Would we really depend on guys like Bembry, Baynes, Flynn, to play significant roles in the post season? That’s why I’ve been all for the tank. We need to add some pieces.
Yesssss absolutely, that’s why I’m stoked brother. With our scouting team picking gems late in the draft or finding undrafted gems I can’t help but feel enthusiastic about what we can add while keeping the core intact.
You might already know this but, the Spurs were a 2nd round playoff team just like us. Robinson broke his leg and was out for the season. The Spurs ended up drafting Tim Duncan and the rest is history.
Now I’m not expecting a Tim Duncan, but surely we can draft a talented player in the top 10 range if we land there and adding that to a pretty good core already is just so intriguing to me.
You’re the one that got me looking in to this draft class and getting excited about it. I’m really not that big on college ball admittedly. But after looking up some of the entrants in the draft, I can def see some players who’s games can translate well to the nba level.
It is pretty obvious to me that the Raptors definitely after last night simply just are not good enough to make the playoffs or even the play in tournament either. May as well start the tank now and land a high draft pick in this year's upcoming draft. After last night's loss, Draft lottery odds now look towards getting Keon Johnson, Scottie Barnes or Jonathan Kuminga now.
Top 4 picks are all determined by the lottery balls. Odds are flattened from previous years. After the Top 4, rest of draft is based on reverse standings. Here is a link show the odds if the season ended today: http://www.tankathon.com/
Raptors are now tied with OKC I believe for 7th worst record. 29% chance to land in Top 4, 6.7% chance at Top 1.
mathematically, bottom 5 still ideal for bottom 4, even 6 gives you an outside shot. odds for no.1 still bad for everyone. but that's just long run probability. anything can happen if you draw once. :)
Thank you, I appreciate you.
I’m trying to play the draft out in my mind. Minni & Cleveland likely won’t pick Mobley as neither team needs a C. I don’t think Orlando would pick a C either being that they have Carter jr, and Bamba. OKC just signed a young promising C in Moses Brown who I think has a chance at being a pretty good big man in this league. My Rockets have woods, we really need to draft perimeter players in Houston. Detroit could very likely pick Mobley that’s like the only button feeder I worry about going after him. It’s not impossible for us to land Mobley. I know it’s not likely, but there is a chance.
Mobley could play PF. Minny is one of those few teams where it would make sense. But they're not going to go for a project cause of KAT. So you're prob right.
I think Orlando is going to pick a PG, Weltman likes having a PG to speed up development. I think they've given up on Bamba.
Moses Brown was a good find but he's not mobile enough to be a starting 5 on a good team. OKC is just going to draft BPA IMO. SGA is great but I think Presti still wants to find his guy.
Rockets i think are going for a wing.
Detroit is a wild card. Their young core is still pretty bad. I still think they're going to BPA.
Way to burst my bubble trace lol
Yeah Detroit and OKC likely go with BPA. I’m hoping they land 1&2 and take Cade or Suggs. I’m not that high on Suggs myself but I know he raised his value in the tournament.
Houston is most def going for a perimeter player, no doubt.
Minni does need a PF, I was hoping the same thing would happen as last season when they passed on Wiseman for Edwards, which seems to have worked out ok for them.
I know it’s wishful thinking, and a long shot, but if the ping pong balls land in our favour ya never know.
I think what partially excites me about this draft is that plans B, C and D are exciting too. As long as they don’t go way off board...
Moody and Kispert don’t really excite me mind you. Kispert’s stock seems to be falling beyond where we are likely to draft though
Who is looking like the pick around our range?

I think Toronto can catch up to 5 maybe.
