Ok. Not too many DTs can do that. Hurst is the best one we have. But we have to increase our sack totals somehow. The only other way to do that is with the linebackers.
Watched game again and from KCs second drive refs were helping them out when they started to struggle on O. Arnettes alleged PI on Kelsey was laughable but when Edwards is contacted early in end zone on our 3rd down no flags. Refs know people are watching flag count but it’s bs flags or no flags on critical plays that they decide the game on.
When will KC OL get called for holding as Maholmes breaks pocket multiple times max and others were having arms grabbed. It was blatant and total bs no flags.
We need to win clearly to beat KC like week 5. close games they will get help
A hall of fame 3T would be useful but not essential and ultimately expensive. I’d like to see our guys work on their hand techniques. They were getting off their blockers more end of last season and now we seem to be stuck by superglue to them. We need to coach them up better, they need to be far more violent with their hands.
We relied on stunts and blitzes far too much yesterday whereas in week 5 we got pressure with 3 rushing 1 spying. We really missed Ferrell. Nassib was a major disappointment
Good news at last. the Raiders have signed Takk McKinley and Vic Beasley to their practice squad.
Play chess not checkers. Hurst playing may have made a difference, but not enough to change the outcome. Letting him heal and being ready for a playoff run is the smarter play.
Abram was the most glaring weakness during this game on defense. That and having no answer for sweeps, pitch outs or throws to the right flat.
Erick must’ve been losing it all game yesterday, they were praising Morrow a lot throughout the game. lol
Hopefully Mayock can continue finding us the talent we need in the draft. If so we can really make some noise for many seasons to come.
Failing in the draft year after year has killed us every season. 1 solid draft in 14 from RM gave us a glimmer of hope, but 2 solid drafts by Mayock have finally put us in a position to succeed.
He’s a rookie he will learn. You can’t pull him unless there’s someone better and unfortunately those growing pains are the only way he will learn. Don’t forget right before that he came up with a huge tackle on the sideline keeping the player in bounds and forcing them to use their last timeout.
Let's see how the season goes and his #'s at the end
Did that loss put us ahead of clev in waivers to get Takk? If so... that would be funny if Takk ends up making a difference.
Just read something surprising. The Raiders are third in the leage in hurries. They are forcing the opposing QB to either throw the ball away or just make bad throws. Increased sack numbers would only reduce their passing yards allowed.
