I think they do Cleveland 2.0. Did some good moves but a few bad ones mixed in. Many good nights. Just enough not to win.

Well its a lot easier to make the playoffs which they are currently projected to make so once they get it, its a whole new ballgame. Just have to be hot.
Not really Jays or Atkins related but AA locked up another dude to an amazing extension. Riley.
Gotta hand it to him it’s one of his major strengths.
I don't know most the players we acquired today. But Jays Brass have done good job past deadlines. Berrios, Cimber last year. Walker, Stripling year before
You gotta admit Reed… a Jays/braves finals would be super exciting for you and I lol. Imagine the drama in our hearts bahaha!
Title needs updating....It's year 7
He addressed teams biggest weakness without digging deep into his farm system. With bullpen this deep, If a starter goes down we could use an opener
We can argue this one way or another. But at this point, all of those people who claimed Shapiro and Atkins would come to Toronto and run the team into the ground and would never spend money, etc were all 100% wrong. We may not all agree on how good they have been, but they certainly have not been the nightmare we were told they were going to be.
He would be the 2nd longest GM in team history at 7 years so he would go move to 2nd place with a playoff appearance this year.
.
I think he definitely needs to win the division to be 2nd best. Right now he has the edge in tenure. I think a finals appearance or division title would inch him past AA’s time with us.
I'd say time for new GM. If he hasn't turned team around in five years chances are he is not.
This team stinks. Poorly put together with many holes. 40 million dollars in bad contracts doing nothing for team. Has little in farm as most been traded away.
AA does it again.
“ Harris and the Braves agreed to an eight-year, $72 million contract late Tuesday night. The deal comes just two weeks after Atlanta and Austin Riley agreed on a 10-year, $212 million deal.
The Braves announced the deal, which includes a $15 million club option for 2031 with a $5 million buyout and a $20 million club option for 2032 with a $5 million buyout. Harris will draw an annual salary of $5 million the next two seasons, an annual salary of $8 million from 2025-26, a $9 million salary in 2027, a $10 million annual salary from 2028-29 and $12 million in 2030.”
Serious question: is AA the best contract negotiator in the league? He doesn’t spend much in FA, but he’s been shooting 100% on his extensions for his entire career.
Not all those extensions gonna work out.
So far yea but at some point it wont work out.
They did with a championship with that strategy so doesnt really matter if not all works out anyway. And they are currently 4th best record this year with a good mix of young and old so no one probably complaining until later on.
Why are we bringing things up that AA has done since he quit on the team? Guess people must be upset at Atkins doing a better job here than AA ever could?
