This. Very good point.
It's a really dumb question is why and it's clear as day that you loath the great creator, Ross Atkins. He has the team set up for the foreseeable future and you're talking about getting rid of him when the team hasn't played a single home game since 2019. Keep dreaming, buds.
Nice now you’re dodging 2 questions!
Just to reiterate incase you can not be butt hurt for a minute to reply:
How many years of not being a contender would you be willing to stick with Atkins for?
And
What did my comment have to do with Greece or AA?
Weird you’re the only one who thought it was a stupid question. Obviously doesn’t have anything to do with your butt hurtedness.
That’s crazy right? I don’t know the impact either.
But the Raps were still supposed to be a playoff team this year. I think playing on the road all year and being hard hit by covid has attributed to getting a pass. Winning the ship is a good point though and is part of the reason.
I haven't dodged anything. Your question is stupid. He's going to be here for the next 5 years and then some.
You can't be serious about the Tzatziki Brigade comment. I'm clearly making fun of you and how much you hate Ross Atkins considering he's done a better job than your hero. Anywho, enjoy fantasizing about the great creator getting canned because it won't be happening. But hey, if it helps you sleep at night then so be it. Good GM's see their product through instead of gutting the farm for rentals and players who are on the wrong side of 30 before tucking their tail between their legs and running away.
Jayson Stark was on Bobcats Youtube show recently and made claims that the Jays have the pieces in place to be a "behemoth" and other clubs have noticed. Baseball America podcast.glow on how the Jays are building up the organization. Basically, there's very little chance that Atkins is going anywhere (which everyone should be happy about, because stability is a good thing) for a while. Of the next crop.of prospects (SWR/Martin/Manoah/Groshans) don't pan out there will probably be grumblings
There is no denying that we have a team with budding young players, a recently signed superstar and one of the too farms in baseball with a great deal of cap flexibility. He has put this team in an idyllic place

Add Pearson, LGJR, biggio and teo to the list that people will grumble about if the don’t pan out.
But yeah assuming some of these guys work out we should be contending. Th not working out goes hand in hand with us still not contending in a few years.
Definitely optimistic he can get us there. It’s just a question of how long the leash is if he can’t do it.
Well sure, if the players you draft don't pan out then there should be grumblings. Two has already provided more then enough value for what they gave up to get him, so I'm not going to get to upset if he doesn't pan out. Plus he and Gurriel are both around 27 now, so it may be a case of they are what they are.
I know I may.come off as an optimist but I'm fine with where the organization is at right now and the general consensus among people around the league is that is a agreed upon. The team appears to be in an enviable position and this FO put it there. He deserves to see it out longer, IMO for numerous reasons not the least being the position they have put us to contend going forward and and I truly believe stability is a good thing.
