Mets, I can see your point especially about Kluber and Paxton. What make those guys more interesting, atleast to me, is their upside. Healthy they could be a solid 2-3. The reason I lean toward Kluber costing more is because of his resume and that he's a control/command/ location guy vs Paxton being so dependent on Velo. With Paxton losing 5mph off his FB, tons of spin off all his pitches and not knowing if he regains that back or is actually 100% healthy im not sure how willing teams are going to want to give him a big base salary. I would be surprised if both Kluber and Paxton don't get heavily incentivezed contracts.
I'm dont have alot of interest in Walker, he's a decent mid to backend starter that lacks TOR upside like Kluber and Paxton. Walker pretty much is what he is and with German, Monty, Devi and Schmidt having similar capabilities and higher ceilings than Walker i don't think he's really a great fit. Id rather see them go after Tallon or other pitchers on the trade market
