Gausman accepted his QO too. Really showing what they project the market to look like. Going to be some very cheap deals out there.

Trevor Bauer on Gerrit Cole: "I have nothing wrong with Gerrit. We had our differences in college. That was nine or 10 years ago at this point." Said he would be "more than open" to playing alongside him.
Breaking news: Free agent keeping the Yankees name in it to hope it drives up his price tag.

Trevor Bauer said he has a "ton of respect" for Yankees pitching coach Matt Blake, who worked in player development/with minor leaguers when they were together with the Indians.

The Yankees remain in contact with Masahiro Tanaka, I'm told. I get the sense that going after a Charlie Morton or Garrett Richards as I previously reported wouldn't necessarily get in the way of a Tanaka reunion
I don't think 4 years 100 milllion is too high for them, but if the yankees want to save some money on DJ, they'll have to negotiate an agreement in which they're allowed to match the top offer from another team and let this signing hang over their heads for the entire winter and possibly spring. I think he's worth 25 million, but it's not my money and I don't know the financials for the yankees. I do know they dropped 27 million on a set up guy, when no one is even biting on Brad Hand for 10 million a year. So if money is not an issue, just pay him the 4 years and 100 million and move on. It's pretty hard to cry poverty when you've just given Zach britton the richest FA contract of the winter.
Guys, who needs the presumptive AL MVP when Jed Lowrie is out there. Answer me that!
Would be stupid to bring Tanaka , they haven’t won a thing with him. And he doesn’t look like he has much left .
Really a cancer in the clubhouse ? Was he such a terrible cancer when the Indians got to the World Series ? You already forgot that the Yankees had several players considered by some to be clubhouse cancers during their last dynasty . While I agree the Yankees won’t get him it won’t be because he is such a clubhouse cancer , it will be because Hal refuses to spend on him

The idea that Bauer would give that kind of interview out there is a big reason why the Yanks aren't going to sign him.
It maybe extremely old fashion but there is a "Yankee Way". Publicly putting info out there so openly about your sex life doesn't exactly fit that mold
I don't see how building his own brand is self centered or childish. It is smart imo. Baseball doesn't market their players worth a **** so he does it himself. He has admitted such in the past. Can't blame the guy for trying to build his own worth and brand. It also gives him lots of options during and after his baseball career.
