Oh and as of right now they are one injury to cole away from being a bottom feeder with no chance . And this last season proved it . Without cole the yanks don’t make the playoffs at all

Moving goal posts man . I was asked what team I would field for 2021 and I responded with what I would do this off season . Again if I were in charge that is what I would do . The rest of the team would be mostly as currently is . You are the one spinning things to suit your own false narrative .

But that’s my point, isn’t it? If you would leave the team mostly as is, doesn’t that point to the front office “doing right”? If we are just a Bauer away from being a WS favorite, the team is pretty strong.

Also, Torres and Judge are both right. Please name me two cost controlled players you’d replace them with that have been/are available. Your logic for asking if Torres is right, why are they looking for a SS is very flawed. Just because he might not work at short doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be a premier second baseman. Your logic would have declared Mo as a failure since they didn’t like him as a starter.

This teams needs more than just Bauer to win a ws . But getting him goes along way towards that goal . Besides there isn’t a whole lot that can be done about the lineup as is . Other than trades . And a lot of the rights the front office did was with just spending money , like on Cole , Tanaka , Britton , and originally signing dj .

And Frazier can replace judge and the kid phenom Dominguez is supposed to get ready for the majors by 2022 or 2023 just in time to let judge walk when he becomes a fa . And the yanks might have to do that if they want to keep their payroll under control . As for Torres well the Yankees are already shopping for his replacement at short stop so that they can move him to 2b . Like it or not over the next 2 years or so the Yankees will have to make tough decisions with their current core . As for Mo , it was the Yankees front office who declared mo a failure as a starter and moved him to the bullpen in 95 . That is where he discovered his cutter.

I'd take Wander Franco and Tattis over Torres, not that they have been or will ever be available. When you have a 24yr old middle infielder that can put up the offensive numbers he already has you don't move him unless your getting a young ace plus in return, IMO The problem with Judge is he healthy or going to play only about 110 games again. If he's healthy i'd take him over any other cost controlled OFer. Very, Very short list

Gotta put Gio in that group also, he's an absolute stud on both sides of the ball

First off....this isn't about NOW. Was the move right when it was made? They're looking for a SS so they can move Torres back to 2nd base where hen belongs. If you can't see what he brings to the game, you're simply clueless. Same goes for Judge. Stop with the injury crap. The line of ML players that get injured is three miles long. He's still a great talent despite what you think.

So what IF chap is losing a bit of velocity? Cash should have known that before taking him back? He was still hitting 100 last season. So what if he loses a couple of MPH. You don't have to throw 100 to get batters out. Location, location and location.
