Austin Wells Yankees first round pick in the cage. Launch angle? Sure doesn't appear they want him hitting line drives or putting it in play. on the ground.

The Yankees have a new state of the art building at their minor league complex, with high-tech pitching equipment. Their bullpens are being thrown indoors.
They're calling it "the gas station."
I agree to an extent with Eagles but I think the situation needs to be considered.
I think hard contact on the ground can be good. I'm not saying all the time but I really dislike this concept that GBs are a bad thing. DPs are terrible.
Aside from a DP, a ground ball is better than a K, all day. It forces them to field, throw and catch.
How about guy on second and no one out? Or to get in a run?
Again, aside from hitting to the situation, if there's less than two strikes? Of course, drive the ball but once there's two? Make the defense do something.
Johnny Damon can't throw back a baseball but he can sure throw back the drinks
Zack Britton on Domingo Germán's return to the Yankees:
"Sometimes, you don't get to control who your teammates are. I don't agree with what he did, I don't think it has any place in the game or off the field at all."
And some here thought Bauer would have been unpopular with his fellow players and a distraction in the clubhouse . I said it months ago and I will say it again , the Yankees should have traded German after his suspension was up , even if they could only get a bag of baseballs tor him
And yes German is still a distraction considering the attention he is giving the team after his last deleted tweet . https://nypost.com/2021/02/17/yankee...er-suspension/
Doesn’t matter who wrote it , and I believe it was on his account so it is still a distraction and German is atleast an indirect cause of it . Then there is the media circus that Britton rightfully caused with his opinion of German . Either way you look at it German is still causing the Yankees trouble in the media and giving unwanted attention to his team . Bottom line he should have been traded by now
Opinions are like another part of the anatomy everyone has one. Britton is suddenly the morality arbiter? Again no excuse for his behavior, but throwing a teammate under the bus in ST is not the best way to start the season. I imagine the atmosphere in the bullpen or "gas station" is heating up as we speak. Again no excuse for the behavior, I condemned it then as I do now, just question why Britton needs to go there at this moment?
So who is creating the distraction?
