The key to the deal was taking on Carrasco. The indians just wanted payroll relief and the Mets were smart enough to take advantage. Cohen should be arrested for grand larceny after this deal

I'm just having a bit of fun, Eeyore. It's true, there are many disgruntled people here, but you are in a class all your own. If you have ever written a positive, happy post, I have missed it. If the Yankees somehow traded Tyler Wade for Jason DeGrom, I swear all you would post is how Jason DeGrom never won a championship for the Mets so the Yankees are still a mediocre team who would have to get lucky to beat the Bad News Bears. Were you a member here in 2009? If so, I want to go back and see your posts from that year. Certainly you would have had something positive to say about a championship year, right? Then again, you probably were like "they'll never beat the Phillies" over and over and then once we won, you were probably like "sure, we won, but we'll be a mediocre team next year."

All you are doing is posting pure nonsense to me since I haven’t even said any of those things you accused me of saying . You should just put me on ignore because you are really losing it now. With Tampa letting Morton go and trading Snell the level of the best teams in the AL really fell. The CWS are the clear best team in the AL but after that every team has alot of questions.

I hate what Hal and Cashman haven't and aren't doing but lets not act like were going to be a last place team. With the AL getting so much weaker its just more of any excuse for them not to spend yet still be able to say they have a contending caliber team

Everyone has their own opinion. The Yankees only strength is offense (when everyone is healthy). But, the reality is that the Mets (with Springer) have a much better offense than the Yankees. More than half of that lineup could hit close to or over 300.

Even without springer the mets have a more balanced offense than the Yankees . All the Yankees have are mostly power hitters. And even if they do have a better offense we have seen over the last few seasons how easily their lineup was shut down against good pitching . The line up with dj last season was healthy in the alcs and still was shut down by Tampa bay .

I really was hoping we could pull off the trade the Mets just did. I admit it, I am jealous. But, we have a truck load of young, eager flamethrowers here and on the way. And one day relatively soon, we may have a Martian patrolling center field. Disagree with what the Yankees do as much as you like. We all do it. That is the point of a discussion forum, but if you are going to complain about everything that doesn't go as you like, and don't enjoy the possibilities of what may be, then I don't know why you bother being a fan. I just don't get it.

The plan is simple. He signs with the Mets, gets acclimated to NYC, finds an apartment, best restaurants ect., once his contract expires he signs with the Yankees.
