i think there would have to be more pieces than that because it would have to be a 3 team trade. I think Torres plus a lottery ticket would get it done for Castillio, although i would hate giving up Torres. Devi, Andujar, Peraza plus a lottery ticket for Lindor?Quote:

I think you are light on both trades. If they would accept what you offer, we should do both trades immediately. Castillo is a young TORP with years on control. U may be correct, pretty much every trade value simulator that i have seen has Castillio in the 7-10 range of the most valuable players on baseball. It will take a massive package to land him.Quote:

According to MLB trade values simulator Garcia, Peraza and Andujar gets a deal done for Lindor. Thats a pretty similar to the Verdugo, Downs amd Wong package Boston got for Betts. If they want us to take back more salary offer to take back Carrasco and kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Trying to factor Lindors value with only 1yr of control left really hurts his trade value. Andujar has a great bat, is still very cheap and Cleveland wants MLB ready or close players in any deal for Lindor. Garcia give's them a young pitching spec with 5plus yrs of control left and a huge ceiling Cleveland might be able to completely unlock. Peraza is our #4 spec, Get comps tool wise at this stage of his development to Jeter and some have even said a young Lindor and is in the backend of most top 100 list. Not playing at all last yr, atleast where scouts could see him really hurt his value. He's an incredibly young, talented, SS with huge potential that could replace Lindor in a yr or 2.
Do i think that exact package gets in done, maybe but if it took 1 or 2 more lottery ticket type throw ins, as long as we trade players where we had a surplus in, C, SS, 2nd basemen and OF, i would have no problem doing that. Maybe adding a Florial or Cannon Smith to the deal gets it done, they both have about the same trade value. My guess is if the decide to make a run at Lindor, Cashman will wait to engage to see how the market develops, what kind of package they are looking for ect, before he gets heavily involved
Clevelands management are the only people that really know what it would take to get a deal done. I know they are very interested in getting the Yanks involved for Lindor and have expressed interesting in a number of our younger player and specs according to Rosenthal and Olney. We also have one huge advantage in resigning him with his best friend in Gio on the team.
If you look back at Clevelands trade history like Bauer and Clevenger they opted larger package vs a smaller one with more highly rated players/ spec. If that holds true in what they are hoping to get in return for Lindor that also plays perfectly for us because our system i so deep with high ceiling talent, especially below AA
