I'm really surprised you think Wheeler was a developmental success for the Mets and that Sevy hasn't been a success for us. Wheeler never put up great numbers with the Mets, was very inconsistent and struggled with injuries. He had a 44-38 record with a 3.88 ERA during his time with the Mets. Sevy is 42-26 with a 3.42 ERA and we got back to back top 10 CY Young from him.
If you consider Wheeler a success for the Mets you gotta think Sevy has been atleast an equal if not better success for us
