I'm really surprised you think Wheeler was a developmental success for the Mets and that Sevy hasn't been a success for us. Wheeler never put up great numbers with the Mets, was very inconsistent and struggled with injuries. He had a 44-38 record with a 3.88 ERA during his time with the Mets. Sevy is 42-26 with a 3.42 ERA and we got back to back top 10 CY Young from him.

If you consider Wheeler a success for the Mets you gotta think Sevy has been atleast an equal if not better success for us

Also gotta remember that Wheeler is a product of the Giants minor league system.

Analytics just cost the Rays the lead!

Pulling Blake Snell because the book said to is just another reason why Analytics should be thrown out the door!

Managers like Kevin Cash and Aaron Boone will never win a WS managing like that!

Wrong. Dave Roberts is as analytical as they come. Cash just made an idiotic decision.

The rays were not gonna win that game 1-0 , so I am not sure cash deserves to be criticized so badly

It didn’t surprise me much either considering the rays were almost undefeated when leading a game in the 6th inning

That has literally nothing to do with my statement you quoted. Snell was on fire tonight; there was no good reason to pull him regardless of the score.

I never said the decision to pull snell was a good one . I only said that I didn’t think cash deserved to be criticized so badly for that decision . Remember the rays almost never lost a game when they had a lead in the 6th or later . I personally would have left snell in . And yes I still believe that I highly doubted the rays would have won that game 1-0 unless snell pitched the whole game .
