Things like that really make one wonder if these people are really Yankees fans. Or, just trolls.

Yeah, DJ certainly has defied all expectations with what he has done in NY. In terms of Lindor, I'd say it all depends on the details. You don't want to gut the farm for him when you can just open up the check book for him next offseason, but if it's a reasonable prospect cost and you like your chances of re-signing him? Get it done.
I usually agree with that statement. But, I think this year provides a unique opportunity. If the Mets start looking at Arenado (which makes a lot of sense for them), then who is really left in the market for Lindor. No way he wants to play in Toronto for the next 10 years. Not many teams enthusiastic about adding $20-25 mil in payroll. Prospect cost may be extremely reasonable.
If you sign DJ, would you be willing to swap Voit, Andujar and two lower level prospects? I would. However, I would be unwilling to move Schmidt until our starting rotation was more solidified. German and Deivi not looking good in Dominican league.
i agree that Lindor might be the exception to pay twice. IMO, he's such a special talent and it would be a shame to let him get away. \
While i would probably part with Voit, Andujar and 2 lower specs i think we could probably get it done for less. My one concern is if the price gets low enough i could easily see the Dodgers swooping in at the last minute.
With his multiple yrs of control and his huge offensive production I think Voit might be an overpay for 1yr of Lindor. Cleveland tends to prefer bigger volume returns vs 1 or 2 highly ranked trade pieces, look at the pieces they took back for Bauer and Clevenger. They definitely seem to value being MLB ready or close vs higher rated young specs . I think the Betts deal is a pretty good guide cost wise, they gave up an MLB player who was flawed, 1 high ceiling spec and a couple of throw ins
Trading for Lindor should be a top priority for the Yanks this winter, they obviously have decided they need a long term SS replacement, why wouldn't you go out and make sure you got the best one possible. Getting a young, generational talent like Lindor isn't something they whould pass on when its right there for the taking. IMO he could seriously change the direction of this franchise and would help keep our window open.
I do agree with you though, they desperately need to add to the rotation and BP if they plan on competing this yr
Day, no argument, 100% agree. Lindor is a very special talent. I've been in his corner from the moment I heard of Yanks interest. Given the current financial environment it would be prudent to wait, no cost in talent and every team is hurting, some much more than others. I don't anticipate huge FA spending. However there is always risk. Mets Cohen could make back page headlines and sign him and others. Toronto and Philly could get involved. Yankees need to be vigilant and be prepared to beat all offers, it may cost them Frazier.
I remember after german’s first two starts some people here were hopeful that German would be an upgrade for the rotation . Not saying he won’t be since the rotation isn’t anything special after cole but his numbers are now bad in the Dominican league with a 7 .16 era with 13 runs allowed in 16 innings pitched . And 17 hit with 9 walks .

I never said I was worried about how badly German has been doing , in fact it doesnt surprise me much since I wasn’t expecting a lot from him anyway . I only pointed out that he has done badly in the Dominican league this winter . I mean a few weeks ago some people were making a big deal about his first two starts . But I do feel the title of that article is terribly misleading since it’s 2 months before spring training starts and it should atleast be a little concerning that he is getting hit hard by hitters who for the most part will never make it to the majors
