It is possible for any player. Do you just assume everyone is going to fall off? It would be one thing to worry about a no name guy to fall off after a big year. It is different to assume that of a guy who was the #1 prospect in baseball. I think the fact that Torres was such a highly touted player, his performance verifies how much of a talent he is. He is the exact type of player I would make excellent projections for.

I'm just saying it happens. If Torres was putting up next level, Joan Soto or Mike Trout type numbers, after 3 seasons then the likelihood of that happening is much less, but right now, there's no such reassurance with Torres. Look at Kris Bryant, for example. He's posted very similar numbers to Torres's first 2 seasons, except he's more patient. He's a good hitter, but his bat alone isnt all that. You can easily use him, lindor and numerous other players for comps.

Monty, Garcia, Peraza, Florial and Gil went through for Castillio but that pretty unrealistic for the Yanks to give up that many MLB players and top scecs for 1 pitcher, even one as good as Castillio.

Realistically based on Castillios trade value its really difficult to make that deal without having to give up atleast one of Torres, Judge or Dominguez.

Reds don't want Torres or Judge. They are ARB 1 and ARB 2, respectively. Dominguez, yes. But, there are enough assets to get a deal done without him.

Jays not getting Lindor. Makes no sense for them. 1 year and then he takes first flight out of CA. Jays have about $60 mil to spend. I can see them getting DJ, high end bullpen arm, JB Jr and trading assets for Castillo. Either way, that would probably set them up to compete in east with rays.

He has yet to ever play a game in the minors , that hardly makes him untouchable , especially with a team that is supposed to be in a win now mode and desperately needs starting pitching . Dominguez won’t be ready full time in the majors until 2023 , by then the current window is closed because a good chunk of this team , talent wise, will be free agents after 2022
