4/84 would be my max

I’d pass on trading for a reliever, until the market gets established. There should be too much value out there. If we could pull off a trade for Lindor built around quantity instead of quality, sign me up. Resign DJ and look into packaging Voit and Sanchez to Miami for one of their young arms. Sixto Sanchez? Try to pry Morton away from TB, if not try an incentive laden deal for Kluber.

With Sevy coming back mid season and Monty there for injuries

I’m not a fan of Simmons if it’s going to be a multi year deal. There’s too much talent available next year to not be in that market. If they’re insisting on moving Torres back to second, maybe take a run at someone like Crawford. Free agent after next year. Would the giants take someone like Otto and a mid level spec back to get crawford off the books? I believe the difference would be $6 mil.

Zero chance of getting Sixto Sanchez from the Marlins unless the deal is very one sided. I'd ask for Dominguez and Deivi as a start with a few lottery tickets thrown in.

Marcus Stroman has accepted the qualifying offer from the Mets.

One potential target off the table.

Sanchez is 22 granted, but he has exactly 39IP in MLB, a 3.56 ERA and was 3-2. His peripherals are good. Great promise for a rook so young.....but Dominguez AND Deivi +++?

I can see why Miami wouldn't part with him given their finances. Shoot for the moon, but is he really worth that ask?

He is the first Yankee to finish inside the top 5 voting for the AL Cy Young since Luis Severino finished in 3rd place in 2017.

Trevor Bauer wins Cy Young in the National League. Amazingly, Bauer becomes the first Cy Young award winner in Reds’ history. Salary demand inflates along with his ego.

Shane Bieber wins Cy Young award. He finished 4th in Cy Young voting last season. Bieber was a unanimous winner, taking all 30 first place votes. No surprise.

If they are gonna go with young unproven pitchers then might as well stick with what they got

No, he isn’t. But that’s fine. Take out Sanchez and insert Alcantara. He’s only 24 but about to start hitting those arbitration years. Point is Miami has some solid pitching with not enough hitting. I think they’d make a good partner
