What they thought then was that they were never going to watch the NFL again. They lied.

"When I said 'never,' I really just meant until I changed my mind. It's totally consistent, don't worry!"
:laugh2:
That's fine. Replacing one time of racism with another kind of racism is not progress to me. In fact, it is worse. All of the hatred that is being sown by the BLM, Nation of Islam, Southern Poverty Law Center, et al is just revenge for real and perceived injustices committed 50-200+ years ago by people of all different races, creeds, and colors. Martin Luther King wouldn't want this kind of society methinks.:sigh:
Who is the "they" you are talking about? Taking patriotism away for a sporting event did offend people and still does. But even more so was the reason why they did it. That also hasn't gone away. To a lot of people, it feels good to sing the national anthem and to stand with you fellow Americans. Now, you may not like that and that is fine also. But that is not the issue. The issue is that the league decided to favor one subset of the population to another and to take away what they like to do and replace it with something that someone else likes to do.
And, people can vote with their pocketbook and not support a company or in this case a league which has marketing arms everywhere that is biased towards one group of people.
