Beautiful. How's Shaun King doing? Bet you 2 have a lot in common.

Oh by the way, the reasons I wouldn't join a gang were basically the same reason I burned my draft card and made plans to move to Canada with a couple of hippies friends in high school. I have no problem with fighting but I be damn if I have anybody use me to fight their bs.
We actually visited Canada after my junior year. Strafford Ont. Saw a nice Shakespeare outdoor play there. Lost my wallet and a week later the police sent it back to me minus postage. Damn, I wished I got drafted, I would be up there now. A beautiful country and is great for camping.
Is anybody old enough to remember the calls from the army recruiter's office when they reached their senior year? I found out decades later the high schools used to send the names and phone numbers of graduating boys for them to recruit. The most asinine conservation I ever had until I came here. The recruiter built it up as grand experience with benefit. I had my choice of going to Hawaii, which they don't tell you was just a stopover to vietham or Alaska.
One learnt early that the government can be a lying sack of crap and is only interested in your poor arse during wartime or armed service.
Sorry, old people tend to ramble on about the past sometime
Yeah man. No racism in Canada. Doesn't exist.
They all ride moose and drink Maple syrup.
If you were born mid 50s the last men drafted were born in 1952 and earlier.
Dude you are so transparently full of ****.
Edit: Last people drafted were born in 1953. Wes is still a fraud.
I have to look that name up. So, I don't think I am triggered by his name as much as you are about Pelosi. A good dissing, not that I am capable of it, have to be at least grounded in reality. Otherwise, it is easily ignored. Like calling someone a pooh head in grade school. An adult would just scratch head trying to make a connection. Try again, you caught me on a slow RT day.
I would suggest my use of the English language, but Flip hit that switch already, so I am immune to that one.
Bro you're a fraud. That Vietnam comment where you pretend to have been almost drafted is quite telling. My dad joined the service and was born in the mid 1950s. I'm very aware of the time period.
And everything you say is just factually wrong. Bernie is not super loved in black communities. Both Biden and Clinton did better with black voters than Bernie.
Bernie bros are predominantly middle class and upper middle class white voters under 30.
I use to think you were a typical upper middle class black guy that tried to act like the black spokesperson. In the vein of Briahna Joy Gray.
But now I'm wondering... are you black?
Like so many points you made are just so stupid. That talking **** about Malcolm X around black people will get you beat up? Dude there's a better chance if you talk **** about Kobe. That Bernie is ultra revered in the black community. What you said about gangs is ignorant as **** too.
Now this Vietnam thing is really a huge red flag. You were at no risk to be drafted. You were born mid 50s and went to college by your own admission. Then your comments about Canada like it's a racial paradise?
Like I'm really interested in your defense for all this.
You can look it up yourself. The last round of people drafted were born in 1953 and earlier. He claims to be born mid 50s.
Even if he was born in 53 he also claims he went to college. Which means he DEFINITELY was never at risk to be drafted.
I'm sorry this guy is a fraud.
This is how derange you are. I told you the reason I went to Canada, to avoid the draft, and why I wish I could live there, because of my experience there, the beauty of the forest there, and great camping.
But this is what you drew from that post. Nice stereotyping of Canadians by the way.
Did I tell you that I was drafted? You get a draft card and wait for your number to come up. They stopped drafting kids in late seventy-two if I remember correctly when I was in my jr. year. I graduated in 73. Born in fifty-five.
Visited Canada before my junior year but I still consider myself, that summer, as being a junior since I completed my sophomore year. One of my friend's older rebel sisters took us up there with the understanding she was saving us and her kid brother from Vietnam. Hippie, couldn't pick a better group of white kids than them. They were the first white kids I interacted with coming out of my neighborhood. Approach me first talking about the Vietnam war and rock and roll. My parent lied about our address and use a friend's address to get me in a better high school with polish, Mexican kids as well as a good number of black kids. Best freaking move they ever did for me besides having me and raising me. To mingle with those outside my ethnic group. My parent generation never had that experience.
told my parent I was going camping for a few days in Mich. Didn't need a passport to go to Canada then, if you want to bring that up. And I gain camping experience in the boy scout that my parent put me in to get me off the streets.
This where you say "I knew you were a liar" I won't deny it in this incident because my parents were too damn protective of me. So I lie or omitted facts like gangs were out recruiting at the parks when I wanted to go play baseball there. We all did. I would share a funny story when we were confronted one time while playing baseball but you are such a royal prick with a grudge to hold. Really, where do you think this conservation would end in RT? That is one of the things I hate about the internet, people talk more smack under the cover of the internet.
Damn, I am long-winded today. I am going to ease up for a minute. So run along and pester someone else for while.
Believe me, I don’t have to look it up. I was born in 1952.
I do not know what year he was born, and I cannot confirm or deny his experience. He can speak for himself.
I can, however, say that you have no effing clue as to what growing up in the sixties was like. I was 16 in 1968, an age when, yeah, guys are thinking about the future. I can tell you that the future looked pretty god damn frightening. The draft was in full swing. The war was in full swing (think about it: 400-600 dead American servicemen every week, not to mention the other casualties — in both groups were guys I knew). Add to it, civic leaders were being assassinated. There were massive riots and protests that make the pissant demonstrations of today look like a walk in the park.
So, yeah, even long before we were of draft age, we were incredicly affected by the crappy situation.
I remember it well.
You don’t.
My dad tells a much different story being born in 1956 and signing up in 1974.
By 72 and 73 Vietnam casualties weren't anything compared to early in the war. But if you were born in 1952 you would have been drafted in 1970 when over 6k troops died. I can understand the fear of going in then.
In 1973 a total of 68 troops died. The war was not as scary by then. My dad always talks like it wasn't really a big fear by that time. And that the war was heading to a close.
He would sign up for the Air Force and spend 6 years in Holland.
Right off the bat, you are making false assumptions of me. I went to college one year and dropped out when I realize I was using college to get out of Chicago. I have stated this before. But thanks for thinking was college-educated, I owe that to be a book worm with wide interest.
I didn't say you would be beaten up but you would get the tongue lashing that your momma should have given you.
Once again for correction. I never said Bernie was revered but black like him better than Pelosi. Who holds politicians in revere outside the tribes?
How did I make Canada a radical paradise? Because I saw a play and when camping? You are pooping on all cylinders here.
What did I say about gangs. oh forget, going by your MO, I sure it is nutty.
