There doesnt need to be any effort for systemic racism to exist. When I say systemic racism, I am not attaching any judgement to the situation aside from the numbers telling me that it exists. You keep saying that it doesnt exist while posting statistics confirming its existence.

The end of your post is where you get yourself into some problems. You are commenting on SOME statistics, and not providing any evidence to support your judgements. For instance, if "gang culture" accounts for the increased level of black violence, then you need to support that. I'd like to see numbers on the amount of blacks in gangs, and a direct correlation with the increased level of crime/violence. If you can't support that statement with evidence, then you are simply making generalizations about race. If you are simply making generalizations based on race, then no one here is wrong for calling you a racist(except that it may not be the best way to show you that your statements are racist).

The knock on the original study is that some people (god I want to make the joke here) claim that what is really happening is that Lakisha and Jamal are signalling poor socioeconomic status. So a group tried it with surnames. No differences were seen between black and white there... This one is the only one I could find that didn't show an effect. But the criticism here is a little stronger Washington, Jackson and Jefferson don't quite signify black the same way. The first thing most might think of is welll... I'll let you think that one over. Other common Black surnames larger than 65% black? Battle, Pierre, Smalls, Chatman, and Randle. Those don't scream black at me either. Hell Randle I am immediately going to think of the guy from clerks... (I wouldn't hire him either.) Can't find the full pdf so linking to popular coverage. Where even the researchers walk back the interpretation of it's findings.

All this is to say. Anyone who claims to be using logic from the statistics and thinks there is no disadvantage to being black in this country above and beyond socioeconomic issues, isn't doing a good job of looking at the statistics.

It’s not systemic racism. Sometimes being prejudiced is acceptable. Is it prejudice if I do the same thing to a white hillbilly?

Using Ewing’s analogy. If I see a white doctor, I treat him as a doctor but if that white doctor is hanging out in a rural area dressed like a hillbilly, I’m going to view him as potentially dangerous.

These are snap judgements that people make which are based, in most cases, on statistics and logic.

You are looking at the end results of the race and assume the results indicate some were held back. However, I would argue that the positions in the race may motivate certain racers to work/try more than the racers who are given an advantage. Also, you assume skin color is the reason for this disadvantage. I would say it’s poverty, regardless of skin color.

The evidence is in the statistics I’ve already stated. Young black males commit over 50% of the gun murders in this country. If you believe the overall gun murders in the US are high, than you have to willing to admit, a small portion of the population committing half of these murders is troubling.

I love this series of tweets because it just goes to show how silly your approach is. It includes your point that 50 of murders are committed by black people.

But then counters said argument with dividing the number of murders by the number of black people pointing out how unlikely it is for a black person to be a murderer. You are simply ignoring the base rate.

Ok, you're getting close.

The reason your prejudism against the white hillbilly isnt such a big deal is because you are just a single person. The reason prejudism against blacks is a bigger deal is because the entire system is prejudice against them.

I think you are not appreciating how racist american culture has been. 2 generations ago they would have public exhibitions in which black people would be in cages and shown as the link between man and ape. Black face was mainstream entertainment just 2 generations ago.

You cant fathom the system being racist because it makes you uncomfortable, but facts dont care about personal comfort. It is what it is.
