Do you realize how much some of those actors get?? Sports??? $30 million annual salaries are not unusual (Ho much do the peanut vendors get???)
Third Para…Never said they suck. Did say (over and over) that many do not take advantage of their opportunities…and living in the US is the greatest opportunity of all. And for the record on immigrants……they are coming here because their country let them down, not the US.
Want to know why I am cynical??? Pay attention to this part.
We could raise the minimum wage to $15 and have $12 Big Macs and people will either buy them or they won't. People will lose jobs and McDonald will automate. But the real kicker is once the dust settles and we are all used to the $12 Big Mac and $15 minimum wage…something else comes up. They now need $20 minimum wage or something else.
Black Lives Matter and all the other movements…let's retrain the police, give away housing, improve schools, free college, free healthcare, do away with bail, legalize drugs, have more job considerations and don't forget reparations. Let's do all that…and when things get no better for many……then what???
Things quiet down…come up with a new concept. It's no longer racism; it's now systemic racism. So even when racism isn't there, systemic racism (that most don't even see) is still there. Don't forget we now have microaggression, intersectionality, and whatever the multiple genders are that so many seem to have. Everyone is oppressed. It's horrible here…but no one leaves and thousands try to get here.
You want to know how a lot of our society thinks (and you can take this to the bank)……you give and give and give for all these groups and nothing improves. So people sit back and have a "now what" attitude. "What next." It never ends.
