Sweet lord. and how will the government deal with it? That is a scarier path, then the crime in mega poor black community because it make all black men a target to be dealt with.
How will we deal with white kids on the campuses that continue to party during a pandemic that cause the continuing spread of the corona virus
Or white males commiting crimes in rural area.
Oil companies, own by white guys, who are allow to pollute the environment
Or mega billionaires white guys who keep playing the political system for their personal gains at the expense of the lower 99%
Or white guys who continue to encourage constant warfare.
White folks who encourage racial diviseness with their hatre.
you continue to not focus on a small percentage of black males who commit crime. You stil don't focus on drug slinging gangs instead you continue to lump all black males together as the problem.
This a problem with some whites and a lot of police officers.
Don't you think that is annoying for a black man to constantly hear, who knew hundreds, directly or indirectly, of black men during his lifetime that were harding working, family driven, and yes, good Christian?
We have to admit Black men is the problem so the government can deal with it. You saying that the government must deal with Black men. Don't you see how that plays into centuries of racism that spun up from "The Negro Problem" mindset? The super predator.
Oh, you can sugar coated it, act concern, push a "I live in a black community, so I an expert on Black folks agenda. I even saw a dead person and ran drugs for someone, so I can identify with black folks. News flash, most black males didn't do what you done. Know them better then they know themselves and I only being concern about them.
This thinking is so whack, as your "Republicans have been very good to black folks." I guess with your mindset that is true.
Ending the drug war will never happen in the next twenty years. Harsher sentences are already in place for many forms of crime thanks to three strikes you out that result in people being sentenced for life for selling an oz of weed, retail stealing, and other low-violence crimes. Cracking down on gang activity seems not to work, since we be at it for forty some years.
The reason cracking down on gang activity doesn’t work is because the drug trade allows gangs to earn lots of money. Money keeps lower level gang members happy/satisfied therefore making it less likely they testify against higher level members. It took 50-60 years to eventually wear down the mafia after prohibition.
I don’t like 3 strikes as it’s too open to convict on BS to get 3 strikes. Using an illegal handgun to commit a violent crime should have the harshest sentence we can give out.
That's fine, as I said, you are contradicting yourself. You are yourself again justifying why it's ok to profile black males, while simultaneously saying it has nothing to do with skin color but just economics. But if you are profiling black males then you are profiling based on skin color, not economics.
You are essentially destroying your own argument.

If they aren't going to end the drug war, the emphasis should be on stopping the flow of foreign drugs into the country. That hasn't happen or even been dealt with.
Harsh sentencing hasn't proved to be a deterrent. If you are seeking to just punish the activities, fine, but actually stopping it, no.
One can see how it took 50-60 years to wear them down, with an FBI director, Hoover, denying they were a problem for twenty years. We didn't really take them seriously until Robert F. Kennedy went after them in the early sixties, twenty years later they were a shadow of what they once were. The drug war was taken very seriously from day one. Biden even thought that Reagan was being too soft in sentencing and prosecuting drug offenders. After forty-some years later, drug gangs are still a major problem. Indicating we are continually invoking fail policies over and over again, including harsh penalties, with no gains to be seen.
The European took a different approach and don't have the crime, killings or addiction problems that we have with drugs.
If I’m in a high crime area and I see a young black male, who looks like a gang member, I wouldn’t stop to ask him directions. I’m profiling the city/the area more than I am the person. If I see a young white male who looks/acts like a gang member, I probably wouldn’t ask him either. It’s not about race, it’s mostly about actions and demeanor. Similarly, if I’m in a rural area and I see a white hillbilly looking guy, I’m not going to stop and ask him for directions either. But if I see a black hillbilly looking guy, I’d have s conversation with him all day. It’s about the area, how a person looks and his demeanor. I’m making a judgement in my head as to whether that person can potentially be a danger to myself and/ or my family. It’s prejudice. The person could be the nicest person in the world but I don’t care. I don’t need to interact with them.
Bro, everyone stereotypes based on surface level characteristics. It's not something you have to justify.
Most americans feel the surface level characteristic of black skin being correlated to high crime is not a good enough stereotype for us to accept. We want to change this stereotype because we are pro American and we want to stand up for Americans, so they can be their best, which in turn helps america be it's best.
