But the reality is that the number of mass shootings since then has been in the hundreds, so although 55% of mass shootings are by white people, .00000001% of all white people commit mass shootings (made up number, but I'm sure it's around that low if not lower).

The same inverse logic is true of black people and murders. There were just under 20,000 murders committed in 2018. That means roughly 10,000 were committed by black people according to the %. Extrapolating the number of black males age 18-40 that means the % of black males age 18-40 who commit murder is .001%

So 99.999% of black males age 18-40 are not going to kill you. Yet you are wary of all of them.


To put this in perspective, that % is lower than the mortality rate of Covid that conservatives tell us not to worry about. So we shouldn't worry about covid because it's mortality rate is so low but you should assume all black males age 18-40 are murderers because of the 53% statistic?


It's all smoke and mirrors.


As for the part about treating someone differently, I'm not treating anyone differently. A gun is not a person (or did you forget. I know you think corporations are people too, but I didn't know it extended to guns now). Prohibiting guns is no more treating a person differently than prohibiting heroin is treating an addict differently. It's the object the law is addressing, not the person.

Guns are not people. Black people are not property. I know, it can get confusing sometimes.

That’s being said, where did you get that white males 18-40 only make 12% if the overall population? If that’s true, black males 18-40 make up 2% of the population. I know black people overall make up 13% of the population. White people make up 73%. That means there’s 5.5 times as many white people as black people. Those numbers are not close.

Not to mention, half the victims of murders in the US are black people. Shouldn’t black lives matter? Why do liberals not care about these black lives? Those people have lives. Those, mostly young men, deserve attention as well.

Well, there's the Coen brothers if you wanna count them.......Fargo was based on a true story, but not one from Fargo or Minnesota and not even necessarily rural. But Joel and Ethan are from St Paul.

Off the reservation, we have like 1 murder a month in the entire state of SD, virtually none of them rural.

But I don't know how you profiling young, black men has anything to do with stopping violence against black people.

I am more fearful of dying in rural areas than the city, but of natural causes of being lost without cell service. Certainly not because I'm afraid some local will kill me lol.

Denying the issue, as if, it’s not a serious issue within the black community is a form of racism in my mind. Almost excusing murders in this community is not acceptable. I’m not profiling black people. I’m pointing out specific black people, mostly males, and stating they could be dangerous. I do the same with any group of people. Stop excusing the issue. Stop making excuses for murders.

how rural were you planning on getting?
you have to get pretty deep into the woods before you lose cell service anymore.....well, Sprint still sucks here if you get off a US or state highway very far

I don’t refer to areas as “black.” I believe there’s a problem in the black community, specifically young black males, with violent crime typically committed against other black people. Until we admit the issue, it can’t be dealt with on a government level.
