Hundreds of years of persecution does. They've actually bastardized the term anyway....maybe that's what makes you so upset that they can use it.

Either way, it's very telling that you are upset that black people have unified and use the word as term if endearment. It's like a big ole **** you to their Caucasian overlords.

It isn’t as black and white (see what I did there?) as some of you make it out to be. There are black people that use the word, black people that don’t, some hate it, some are cool with white people using it that they have rapport with.
