Federal officers (who are dressed as actual combat Soldiers complete with semi-automatic rifles, kevlar helmets, bulletproof vests, and camouflage) are driving around in unmarked cars and hopping out to grab and detain protesters. They are not reading these people their rights, they are not informing them they are being detained, they are just grabbing them and driving off. Many are being released from jail without charges.

This looks terrifying. It looks like stuff you see from a totalitarian regime.
oh I have no doubt it's a terrible scene that likely shouldn't have happened, but we don't know these people were being picked up at random or what the situation there is.........and I guarantee not all right wingers would say it's just fine
The reason we don't know if they were being picked up at random is because of a lack of information given by the personnel doing the detaining. Even if these people had an open warrant out for their arrest for homicide, the authorities making the arrest should be stating the reason for the apprehension.Quote:

We all got the message. So this constant crap every night is getting a bit old. What is the point of beating this crap into the ground. It does more harm than good.
Why not show the same restraint the police have and let our leaders come up with some ideas. Time for the kids to shut up and let the grownups do what needs to be done.
