While i wasn't alive during the civil rights era, i strongly support black people fighting for equal rights. Fighting for equal rights is not the same as fighting for equality. Rights are law. If there are laws which purposefully discriminate against black people or pocs, i will fight with them against those laws. If there are racists who are bigoted against black people, i will stand against them. However, the lines between equal rights and equality have been skewed, mostly by democrats, who seek to use racism to garner votes and support, particularly every 4 years. Anti Racism is now a business. People make buckets of money in the fight against racism. See BLM recently for proof. I can't support that on any mass level. The difference between racists in the 1960s and before and now is that society, as a whole, supported racists and racism. Now racists are on the fringe of society. Do you know how stupid it sounds for a racist to claim black people aren't smart enough to be doctors, lawyers, etc? There's a movie called Glory Road about Texas Western University playing 5 black players in an NCAA championship game. There was a time in this country in which black people were thought too stupid to excel in the game of basketball. This thought process was supported wide spread throughout sports and society. It's ridiculous to think along those lines now. The world and our country has evolved. Of course, it's not perfect. There's still racism. It's just mot the rampant force you believe it to be.Quote:

No there's no doubt black people experience racism on an individual level. People, by in-large, are mean and will look for ways to offend someone. It's like black people go to the doctor because they just got into a fist fight and took a punch to the eye. They tell the doctor their eye has been hurting and the doctor responds "you have cancer! Your mom and dad had cancer! Your grandparents both had horrible horrible cancer! It's terminal and there's nothing you can do for it but allow me to treat you. I can make it so you won't suffer as much." White liberal politicians and their supporters utilize this saying to garner votes and remain in power. Yes, they get a few black doctors to concur but those doctors are being paid well so they support the white doctors cancer diagnosis.Quote:
