I’m pointing out a systemic problem that some of you refuse to recognize.
The good clips are somehow meant to soften the problem? We should commend the good ones for acting humane?
It’s a distraction move. It’s a false equivalency.
Refuse to admit there is a wide scale problem and say “look at this guy, he’s acting like a respectful human so there’s no problem”.
In none of what I shared did I say all cops are bad, but he made that statement. Did he acknowledge the horrific acts by all these officers? That maybe it’s not just a few bad apples but a much bigger problem of abuse that clearly needs to be addressed and is the reason we have this uprising to begin with?
No. He thinks there’s nothing to see here because not ALL cops are bad.
There’s a huge problem and it won’t go away if you keep ignoring it.
Please tell me in what profession is there never a “bad apple”
There’s always going to be examples of bad cops, teachers, firefighters, CEO’s, Forum Moderators/Administrators
I guess you expect police to have no emotion and be perfect? Especially dealing with life or death situations?

a narrative that police in general are bad is false and wrong. compared to how many police there are in America, it is a small minority that are bad. of course they should be identified and held accountable, but if the agenda is look all police are bad then that is not accurate.
Do you not see a difference with this profession? It requires a higher standard. And it’s plagued with power abuse.
My entire point is that it is not a few bad apples. There are many and it’s not acceptable and even now with all these protests they are abusing even the peaceful protesters.
Or they’re setting them up like the cop who destroyed an autozone pretending to be a protestor.
I have friends who are cops. Good ones. Ran into the burning twin towers, run their own charities for inner city kids.
Those guys are not what this is about. It’s about the problem ones who are still abusing people now.
They need to be dealt with. You don’t do that by pointing out the good ones.
Recognize that there is a big problem. Otherwise you are just part of the problem.
What do you think should happen to fix the problem? Will calling cops pigs fix the problem? Will chanting and throwing bricks/knives etc solve the problem? Will shooting and killing cops solve the problem?
Of course not but that’s what’s happening all across the country. Police unions also don’t help fix the issue because a lot of these cops are protected no matter how bad they are at their job

He poses no solutions. He gave a generic acknowledgment in the first clip. In the second he said the cops need to be tougher and made it a partisan political statement blaming a leftist mayor.
I mean come on.
Obama failed on this issue for resolutions but he at least knew how to act the part.
Would love to hear your solutions to fix the problem
In the mean time would love to see people stop acting like this
