It's pretty inevitable that some cops are going to act up. Even if you set aside the ones who are bad, violent, racist people... There are literally thousands and thousands of people in their face yelling at them, calling them awful things, pushing the line with threatening them. What the hell of a response is that to someone voicing a very real stereotype which carries very real consequences with it? You're aware of this fact yet your natural instinct is to find a way to discredit this voice? To discredit this perspective?

I'm not boiling down your entire perspective to this, but this is a real facet of this conversation, and your response is the exact response many others have, and it is an absolute dialogue killer. It completely dismisses their voice.

The stereotype exists because it’s based in some factual evidence. But just because a stereotype exists, doesn’t mean we have to allow it to dictate our lives. I treat everyone equally. If I perceive someone as dangerous, I make as adjustments and act accordingly.

Again we don’t need to allow stereotypes to dictate our behaviors. I believe in the stereotype that black men are well endowed. It doesn’t mean I want a black **** in my ***.

there have certainly been police that have done wrong during this protesting, to people that are not rioting. but why is anyone protesting with something like hands up don't shoot. George Floyd wasn't shot, didn't have his hands up, and didn't this phrase alone start with Michael Brown where is was established that it wasn't even reality.
