Not getting trigger happy and shooting a man seven times in the back should be a pretty simple concept too, but here we are

In Sunday's incident, Blake was "armed with a knife" and "forcefully fought" with officers, putting one of them in a headlock, Brendan Matthews, an attorney for the Kenosha Professional Police Association, said Friday, according to Kenosha News.
State investigators, however, said Blake had a knife "in his possession," and it was later recovered from the floorboard of his vehicle, FOX 6 of Milwaukee reported.

Matthews said officers first tried unsuccessfully to subdue Blake with stun guns.

“Mr. Blake was not unarmed. He was armed with a knife. The officers did not see the knife initially. The officers issued repeated commands for Mr. Blake to drop the knife. He did not comply.”
Jacob Blake had a warrant and the police knew this. he should have been arrested without incident.

The cops involved in the shooting of Jacob Blake — which touched off a fresh wave of angry, anti-police sentiment across the country — were attempting to arrest him for violating a restraining order stemming from an alleged sexual assault, The Post has learned.
Blake, 29, was forbidden from going to the Kenosha home of his alleged victim from the May 3 incident, and police were dispatched Sunday following a 911 call saying he was there.
The responding officers were aware he had an open warrant for felony sexual assault, according to dispatch records and the Kenosha Professional Police Association, which released a statement on the incident on Friday.

Blake is accused in the criminal complaint, which was obtained by The Post, of breaking into the home of a woman he knew and sexually assaulting her.
The victim, who is only identified by her initials in the paperwork, told police she was asleep in bed with one of her children when Blake came into the room around 6 a.m. and allegedly said “I want my sh-t,” the record states.
She told cops Blake then used his finger to sexually assault her, sniffed it and said, “Smells like you’ve been with other men,” the criminal complaint alleges.
why is this who people want to defend.
Train the officers better and maybe he’d be ok too.
I’ve got a cousin and a friend in NYPD, and a friend who works hostage situations for the FBI. They may not agree with me on defunding, etc but they all have said this was bad policing and a poorly trained officer. No excuse for shooting them in the back.
But your political sources wouldn’t dare admit fault to an officer because it doesn’t fit the narrative that gets you all riled up and tuning it and supporting a party that hasn’t cared about you in decades.
