I had gangs jump me and beat me down twice one summer because I wouldn't join their gangs. That was the year my parent had to move to another neighborhood. I was in fifth grade. Got sliced in a one-way knife fight but f him up worst with a fist, foot, and a brick. This was my first year in a new High School. I had five fights, three in school. But I never had another fight in the rest of my time in school. My reputation was made. Someone who beat your arse then spends time trash talking. Often I was the first to throw a punch when confronted. I figure at my young age that they were asking for it for confronting me especially if people were around. I also figure out a lot of time people overplay their hands. Or could be I was never a talker. I overplay my hand when I stood and try to fight off four guys instead of running. I was in the hospital for a few days after that one. Walking in the wrong neighborhood. Learn fast the black and white neighborhoods to avoid. Never had trouble with Mexicans, but I didn't mess with their girls, too much heat. But anyway, the experience also taught me that running isn't a bad idea.Quote:

They remember or shared my protesting background when I was young during the Vietnam war and civil rights marches in Chicago. I would talk more about those protest days, but I sure that would not interest someone with you.
But look at me trying to compare my grief with the suffering you experience in a black neighborhood. Who would seek to do this? You go white boy. YOU'RE THE MAN.
