I think this is well said by Bush.

CNN has spent like the past hour talking about how police all over the country are preparing to handle crowds in response to this decision (a show of force). Then I heard Don Lemon pivot directly towards some BS about how the world looks to us as a symbol of democracy, justice and freedom.

Insane.

And if "America is on trial", then we've already failed.

This is stressful. And all this color commentary is insufferable.

Chauvin found guilty on all three counts.

Thank god.

The fact that we still have to hang onto our breaths with such uncertainty is just another way that shows how far we have to go to reach something that resembles a just system. Bare minimum accountability was achieved today.


Wonderful seeing him walked off in cuffs. This doesn't bring George Floyd back nor does it begin to actually address all the horrible things that have happened, but it's a great first step. A murderer actually being convicted as such. Historic. Never before has a white cop in Minnesota ever been sentenced to murder for the killing of a black person. Ever. Until today.

To paraphrase a former president, lock him up!
